8 Litre DVA Water Softener Manual Salt Regeneration Type for Commercial Dishwasher GLASSWASHER Coffee Machines ETC..

As an engineer I have fitted and maintained tons of all sizes of DVA softners. I so often hear people complaining their kettle, steamer, coffee machine and alike failing which is normally due to hard water scale, Calcium Carbonate and then blame the manufacturer. Hard water is measured in degrees, like London is very hard at 18-20d Gh. Fully soft would be 0d Gh meaning no Calcium Carbonate thus no scale. The resolve like have is to fit a manual regeneration or auto softner under the sink and feed a separate tap/spout. The cationic resins in the softner transform Calcium Carbonate to Sodium Carbonate which is water soluble. The resins become exhausted so need to be regenerated by flushing through to drain with softner salt to return them to their active state. The DVA 8litre unit will supply at 18-20d Gh about 1000litres of soft water before regeneration is needed using 1kg of softner salt, easily available in 10 or 25kg bags.
