Can I use this in a turtle aquarium??

Can't answer this withouit knowing how you inend to use it. It should not harm turtles since it is basically a neutral material. Are you using it as a filter in an external filtere system?

what else would you use with this product?

This is all i use for a prefilter on my sump. Below the mesh i have bio balls and ceramic bio tubes.
