The ITA, still holding Jeth’s mother in a remote research lab, is now intent on acquiring the metatech secrets Jeth’s sister Cora carries inside her DNA, and Jeth is desperate to find the resources he needs to rescue his mother and start a new life outside the Confederation. But the ITA is just as desperate, and Jeth soon finds himself pursued by a mysterious figure hell-bent on capturing him and his crew—dead or alive. With nowhere to run and only one play left, Jeth enters into a bargain with the last person he ever thought he’d see again: Daxton Price, the galaxy’s newest and most fearsome crime lord. Dax promises to help Jeth, but his help will only come at a price—a price that could mean sacrificing everything Jeth has fought for until now. A Crew of Mercenaries: Jeth Seagrave leads the Malleus Shades, a tight-knit crew of thieves who are more like family. On the run from the tyrannical ITA, their loyalty is the only thing keeping them alive. High-Stakes Space Adventure: From daring casino deals to desperate escapes from the Interstellar Transport Authority, this fast-paced sequel to Avalon is packed with action, spaceships, and impossible odds. A Sister with Secret Powers: The galaxy’s failing metatech is a secret Cora carries in her DNA. Jeth will do anything to protect her, but the ITA will stop at nothing to capture her. Slow Burn Romance: He’s the cynical captain, she’s the ex-ITA agent with skills to match his. Aboard a cramped spaceship with nowhere to hide, the tension between Jeth and Sierra is about to ignite. Deals with a Devil: Cornered and out of options, Jeth makes a bargain with Daxton Price, the galaxy’s most fearsome new crime lord. But Dax’s help comes at a cost that might be too high to pay. Review: I loved both Polaris and the first book Avalon - The only complaint I could possibly have is that this is the end of the series. No really, I loved both Polaris and the first book Avalon, and I would have totally enjoyed spending more time in the world Mindi built. Luckily I do have Proxy (the novella) waiting on my kindle, but I really will miss the world once it's done! It's not often that I buy hardcover books anymore, but after reading Avalon on my kindle, I bought both it and Polaris in hardcover. If that doesn't say how much I loved this series, I don't know what will! Review: Solid Read. - A good book if you liked the first one. However, it did feel a little like a sequel just to have a sequel in the end ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #2,666,243 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #202 in Teen & Young Adult Space Opera #310 in Teen & Young Adult Alien Science Fiction #976 in Teen & Young Adult Dystopian | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 124 Reviews | ## Images ![Polaris: A Young Adult Science Fiction Thriller and Breathtaking Sequel to Avalon - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51KIYb6P3KL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved both Polaris and the first book Avalon *by C***E on March 20, 2015* The only complaint I could possibly have is that this is the end of the series.
