Is this weaving loom suitable for a 7 year old?

Yes — this beginner weaving loom kit is designed for kids ages 6 to 12. The instructions are easy to follow, and the loom is safe with smooth, rounded edges. Many verified buyers report their 7-year-olds use it independently after a quick tutorial.

What is included in the kit? Do I need extra tools to start? How many loops are included and how many colors?

It includes 7" loom, 224 acrylic loops (8 colors), plastic needle, crochet hook, yarn and instructions. Everything is included—no extra purchases required. If you run out loops, grab our 500-piece or 1000-piece refill packs designed for 7-inch looms.

How big are the finished pot holders?

Finished pot holders measure about 4.5 to 5 inches per side after removing from the 7-inch loom. They work great as coasters, trivets, or decorative mini potholders. For larger kitchen-sized potholders, check our 10-inch Pro Potholder Loom Kit.

Can adults use this weaving loom too?

Absolutely — many adults buy this as a nostalgic craft project. While the 7-inch size is ideal for children, it's also a fun, screen-free activity for adults. Our 10-inch Pro kit is a great alternative for larger adult hands.

Is the loom durable and safe? Is the finished potholder heat resistant?

It’s made of durable smooth plastic with triangular reinforcement, no sharp edges, compliant with toy safety standards. And the acrylic loops are heat resistant up to 302℉, safe for daily use.
