Rubbermaid® Brilliance™ Glass Food Storage Containers are intelligently crafted, and beautifully designed. These glass containers have clear plastic lids with a 100% airtight, leak-proof seal and secure latches to make reheating and storing easy. Review: Excellent quality and size - I wanted to get away from the plastic containers and go with glass. The trade-off is glass containers will be heavier. But we’re good with that. Pros: * Seals tight. I filled them all up with water and turn them upside down and none of them leaked. * Durable. While we wash the glass in the dishwasher, we still choose to wash the tops by hand even though they say they are dishwasher safe. Unlike some brands, these tops appear very durable. Looks like this set will last for many years. * Interchangeable tops. Several of the sizes use the same tops. * Stackable. This style stacks better than any that we’ve had before. I really like the rectangle sizes. They Stack in the cabinets or refrigerator more efficiently than our old round ones. They also fit perfectly in our lunch box for work. * Sizes. Everyone’s needs are different but these particular sizes meet our needs perfectly. No itty-bitty containers. Perfect sizes for leftovers and lunches. Cons: * Price. I did not go looking for other options to see if this set was significantly cheaper elsewhere. But they do appear a bit pricey. * My issue was trying to find the sizes of the containers that are included in this nine piece set (9 containers with 9 tops). So below is what we received: 1 (8 cup) @ 11-1/2” x 7-1/2” x 2-3/4” tall 1 (4.7 cup) @ 8” x 5-1/4” x 3-1/2” tall 2 (3.2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2-1/2” tall 2 (2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2” tall 3 (1.3 cups) @ 5-3/4” x 3-3/4” x 2-3/4” tall After using this set for a few more months, we will see what sizes we use most and supplement it with more of the same brand of containers. We like doing our food prep over the weekends and this style is perfect for our needs. They do keep our food fresher for a longer period of time due to the tight seal. Plus we like not having our food in plastic due to all the health concerns (especially when we warm up our food in the microwave). Hope this helps you.
Review: 9/10 - These are really great food storage containers and I highly recommend them, but, I'm only rating them a 9/10, because I still think that overall, the lids should have been offered with matching lift-off glass versions. The glass is more inert than plastic, plus who doesn't love a lift-off lid for everyday use? I've never been a fan of the clamp style lids, unless you're taking it on a bumpy commute to work or you have to pack it on its side, or something like that. For everyday, I've never liked the idea of clamping lids because they have the effect of pushing whatever you're trying to keep out, into your food, just like a pressure cooker infuses spices into your food due to the pressure. The locking lids do the same thing, except when you're trying to keep things out of your food. A lift-off lid does this at least less, plus, it's easier to use. Anyway, these are really great containers!!! You can tell that a lot of thought went into their design by the many subtle contours of the base, they remind me fully of a good quality old school item, as opposed to something mass produced. And they're flawless, no seam issues, nothing like that. I got these as "take-along" containers for sending food home with people, and I thought the 3.2 cup size was the perfect "Goldilocks-mama bear" size to start out with, though as I can afford it, I'm getting at least one more set, plus smaller and larger sizes. I plan on getting the 8 cup size to store casserole types of dishes in the fridge, and hopefully, then, I can bake in the same dish, even if I have to first bring everything to room temperature before baking. These containers are expensive, but quality basics are worth investing into. And as they say, "poor people can't afford to be cheap," and, "rich man buys nice, poor man buys twice." It will take me a while to get what I need of these food storage containers, but, I would rather bite the bullet and buy the right things instead of anything else. These also stack wonderfully!! And I know the plastic version is more popular, but, glass is so much better for food storage. I don't use a microwave because it destroys the life force (plants given microwaved water do poorly, as opposed to plants given tap water), but, I feel a lot better sending food home with my guests, knowing they will probably heat it up in their microwaves at home, because the glass is such a better container for that. These are great food storage containers for many reasons, and I highly recommend them!!

Perfect for freezer and other storage! Lids match up with the plastic version as well as the glass. Airtight and long lasting. I use the glass version to freeze homemade sauce and chili etc. Highly recommend!
