LA Pinata Spiral-bound – January 1, 1980

Many great recipes from my husband's hometown. WE replaced our original copy because its binder broke; this time we will be much more careful with our book.

This was a replacement for one I have had since the 70's that was falling apart. It arrived in mint condition. Many of the people who contributed recipes for this cookbook were people I knew from my childhood so it is part of my heritage.I use it all the time. Some of my favorite recipes are the Chocolate Sheet cake on page 91 and the Swedish Apple Pie on page 117.

This is a cookbook put together many years ago by the Junior League in the town where I live.So, it is a collection of recipes that have been served to me, my family, and my friends for a long time by other family and friends.

Book was torn and should not have been sold in that condition

I lived in McAllen, Texas for most of my life and had a 'La Pinata" which I used at least once a week if not more, but when we moved to Costa Rica I left it behind. Upon my return to Texas I tried to find another and was able to get one online. Even the book's condition is pretty bad, most of the pages are intact. So glad to have one again.

I always wanted this book. My in-laws have one and the use it alot. Thanks you..,

Love this cookbook. My mother-in-law has a copy of this and it's taken a long time for me to hunt down a copy of my own that was just like hers.My only disappoint was that the spiral was broken but I think that was done in shipping but it's not to worry I just have to be careful when I get close to the end of the cookbook.

My sister-in-law loved the book. She even enjoyed the previous owners comments,since it was used. Received promptly, the only problem was the binding was coming apart in areas but no biggie!!!!
