Has the same look and feel of our old heavy set from the 80s. Plays well and the 15inch board is a good size and keeps it portable. My only "issue" is that once you open the board, you have to flip the latches up or they'll scratch the table - unlatched, they are taller than the case (see pic), certainly not a deal killer and other than that all the components look well made

The workmanship is generally pretty good.The hinge misalignment is only 1-2 mm on one of the hinges and would not be a big problem except that a key part of the game requires that "checkers" are placed on the center of the board. The hinge misalignment causes the center platform to be uneven. The "checkers" are hard to place on the surface. They tend to fall onto the game area too easily.I am not sure that I can adjust the hinge problem.The instructions are printed in pale orange ink which makes them very hard to read.Fortunately there are lots of sources for rules and setup.

For the money it is very good. Much better than the one I bought in a pinch from Wal-Mart which was junk.

We have battled at Backgammon for over 40 years. This set is the same quality set we had when we were first married. We have many great memories from this game. Very happy to get back to the competition.

I bought this for my daughter and son in law as a gift.. It is a very nice set and looks durable. It is easy to store in the attractive case.

Played this game a lot in college. Now retired, we are playing again. Nice quality set!

This is the perfect size board. The pieces are nice size. This is exactly the board I was looking for. Easy to take on the road as well.
