2169 Oil Filter Socket - 14-Flute, 74.4mm

Well.... if you're a car guy or girl, you probably know this. But it's a Hazet tool, so it's obviously excellent quality. Fits the filter like a glove and makes removal and install so easy. This is on a car where the filter is way in there and you're NOT getting it out without an excellent tool or a lot of carnage, swearing, and flying oil. I'd give it a 6th Star if I could. Love Hazet's stuff!!

good to have for Cayman oil changes

Great tool to help perform your own oil changes. Fits filter for 981 Cayman S and 95b.2 Macan S with 2.9l engine.

After shopping around locally to several stores I could not find the right fit for this filter as it is hard to access from the side with a generic strap or one size fits all tool. You have to approach from the bottom straight up and need an adapter like this for an extension. Worked perfectly!

Had one of these years ago and lost it. Its an essential wrench for oil changes on boxer engine BMW motorcycles with little clearance between the engine and the filter You can make due with poking old filters with a screw driver to remove, or use filters with an integrated nut on the housing, like I did fit several years, but so yourself a favor and just get one of these. Compared to the OE BMW one, made by a different manufacturer, this Hazet one fits much better, has no play between it and the filter, and releases immediately/easily. The OE one binds and requires wrenching the opposite direction to remove, trust me, I ordered one and returned it for the Hazet. The Hazet is more, but it simply works better. They only negative for me is the horrible casting and finishing. You can see the flash and attempt to remove it near the bottom edge in the listing photo. Mine looks even worse. My old one didn't look like this, and for that extensive cost, I expected better, even if it is just an oil filter.

This wrench worked exactly as expected. It seems to be well made. It's great that there are 2 different ways to "drive" it, either by the large hex or with a 3/8" wrench.

Recommended in German workshop manual "So Wird's Gemacht" for VW Polo 6C with CZJD engine - fits the existing Mann 712/95 filter perfectly and made removing the old one and tightening the new one to correct torque of 20 Nm (with a suitable torque wrench) easy. Better still, it was available for a lot cheaper than I'd expected HAZET tools to be sold for!
