Confuse And Conquer

A lot of people will diss on this album no matter what because its a classic band reformed after the passing of a prominent member. However, they're missing out. Poison Idea are still the Kings of Punk. Well written, executed, and produced killer hardcore punk. Fast and loud straight ahead hardcore punk with a couple melodic and more experimental moments thrown in. Similar in style and substance to Feel The Darkness and Blank Blackout Vacant.

new guitarist is no Tom Roberts, but he's close enough for rock 'n roll. Enjoy!

punk rock is cool....I Never Heard of You

Jerry A's voice still has the passion. The lineup has the same sound. If you've liked their other stuff this will not disappoint.

Dang! These guys still sound great. This album stacks up to any of their older material. I discovered them through Kings of Punk when it first came out and became an instant fan. When you hear about all horrible crap the various members of the band have lived through, it amazes that they can still produce new music this good.

9 years after what i thought was their last album(well with pig champion r.i.p)expectations were high for me and they have been met with one fantastic album infact this was better than expected if you like poison idea just buy this album!!!p.s check out a band called Long knife they bear a passing resemblance to these greats!!!!

Fantastic album

Dass Poison Idea schon weit über 30 Jahre im Geschäft sind, hört man ihnen nicht an: Ihr räudiger Hardcore Punk mit einer ordentlichen Schippe Rock 'n' Roll klingt auch auf dem neuen Album "Confuse and Conquer" eher nach einer jungen und hungrigen Band als nach "alten Herren". Na gut, von der Originalbesetzung ist nur noch Sänger Jerry A. übrig, aber da wollen wir mal nicht kleinlich sein. Wut im Bauch haben Poison Idea jedenfalls noch. Nun wird auf "Confuse and Conquer" aber nicht ohne Pause durchgerüpelt: "Hypnotic" ist vergleichsweise leichtfüßig, hat eine tolle Hookline, ein One Finger Piano und Ohoho-Backgroundchöre, "Dead Cowboy" ist tatsächlich eine Westernnummer mit tiefem Gesang, und "Psychic Wedlock" führt den Hörer mit einem langen und ruhigen Klavierintro in die Irre, bevor musikalisch die Wildsau von der Leine gelassen wird. Poison Idea haben nix verlernt und knüpfen mit "Confuse and Conquer" locker an ihr hoch gelobtes "Feel the Darkness" an. Alle Achtung!

Buen disco de los Poison Idea. Sin Pig Champion pero con mucha grasa y un par de temas más tranquis muy buenos. Recommendeibol!
