That said, the switches used in this device are the type routinely used in 120VAC applications, the binding points are almost able to handle 120VAC, and the wiring is probably OK as well. But just because the box can probably take it doesn't mean you should do this. The real danger with using this sort of device in a 120VAC test circuit is going to be the fact that the binding posts are intended to provide easy connectivity, not to protect you from high voltage. (This is not an academic concern - I blew a hole through the tip of my finger once when my hand slipped and my finger slid between two binding posts just like these with 400 VDC across them. Had I not been isolated from the circuit it probably would have killed me.) If you're doing any sort of testing with 120VAC I *strongly* recommend using an isolation transformer so there is no potential to ground. There's also the fact that high voltage plus low resistance means high current.
