Ameritex Dog Bed Cover Pet Blanket

I have a very sick dog. She urinated on MY bed 3 times last week. So I had 3 mattress pad covers, 3 sheet sets, 3 blankets, and 3 spreads that had to be washed. Since using this spread she did soil it once. It covers my whole bed, so I only had 1 item to wash. I bought 2 so that I would have a spare. I intend to buy 2 every month until I have a week's worth. It launders beautifully. The directions say to iron if needed. It does not need it. You cannot go wrong with this item.

As you can see by the photos (sorry, but I caught my cat in the act as I was taking review picture), this blanket is 100% waterproof. I am so grateful to have found this. I had been looking for something that was washable & reusable to put on my bed & couch because a cat I took in would not use a litter box. I used pet training pads & he would go anywhere other than in them, I tried all the deterents and they did not phase him. My last option while still litter training was something to cover my bed that was waterproof & washable. This is the best thing I could have found and I'm shocked at hiw little the price was for it being king size. The quality of this blanket is amazing and well worth the little amount it costs. I always read the reviews before I buy something so if your reading this BUY IT. You won't regret it. Best thing ever if your looking for something that truly works. Highly recommend...

I got it and spread it on my bed when I got up in the morning. When I got home from work, I noticed that my cat had peed on it. But instead of absorbing into the material, it looked and I was able to clean up with a tissue. As soon as I wiped up the mess, I felt the material and it wasn’t even damp. It was like putting a sheet of plastic in my bed. For the first time in years, I can climb into bed at night without fear of finding a damp wet spot. Absolutely phenomenal.

It works great! I even accidentally tested the waterproofing when I spilled some water on my bed! Plus it traps all the dog hairs, so that’s a plus. My dog and I really like it, I think it will come in handy when I get my new puppy :).

I purchased this as a couch protector in case my oldest dog with bladder issues happens to get on our couch. I found the grey color to be more of a blue-toned grey, which surprisingly goes with our grey couch and throw pillows well. It actually looks more of a blue in some lighting. The fabric is soft and I think it makes our couch more comfortable to sit on. We can’t vouch for the waterproof qualities of this yet (thankfully!) but it does seem to be well made and of good quality. Our couch is 78” long and I was able to fit it over well so that it covers the back of the couch on down and only a small amount needs to be tucked in on the sides of the cushions, but the arms of the couch are left unprotected. This works out and although it does need to be readjusted on occasion, this stays in place better than other covers I have tried over the years.

Purchased this bed cover in Aug 2020 and in April 2021 my pet had her first true accident on top of this bed cover. The results are in - the pee went through to the bedding underneath. Lots of pee. Total failure. Perhaps I laundered it wrong which caused the material to fail. Total bummer because I thought my bed was protected.

This waterproof piece has saved me SEVERAL times already! So we have a lift top coffee table at home and often eat on the sofa! My son and dog are also often pouncing around playing with each other on the sofa as well. I actually had thought about getting a sofa cover before this (especially with the kids) but I didn't want to have to deal with the fit, etc. Right now we have a sectional and it is configured in a bedlike set up and so this large piece has worked out really well for us! I don't feel anxious when eating on the sofa anymore or feeding my son because I know my sofa is protected! I have already dropped food and sauces on it more than a handful of times and the peace of mind it gave me is just priceless. The piece is nice and large, provides a LOT of coverage and is SUPER DUPER easy to clean! All I have to do is throw it in the wash. The backing of it has this anti slip side and so after putting it on, it hasn't budged either. Definitely recommend this to anyone in a household with kids!

Definitely NOT waterproof as advertised. It went all the time down to the mattress.The “pink” is actually a “rose” color.The large size fits a King bed. Sufficient fabric coverage on both sides but too short on bottom.

I was sceptical about buying these as other brands haven't turned out to be waterproof but I am very happy to say they are fantastic. I have an older dog who can sometimes be a bit incontinent and eventhough she wears her doggy panties and pads to bed they can sometimes leak. This has occured while using this blanket and I was very happy nothing went through. They also have a non slip backing so it stays put and even the dogs moving around during the night doesn't make it move on the bed. I bought a different brand to try as well and although it's a nice and soft fleecy type fabric it bunches up and constantly moves so doesn't come close to this one for ease of use and quality. This one is nice and thin too and well quilted so no bunching occurs and surprisingly very soft. Being thin it doesn't add a huge amount of heat or weight to your bed covers already being used so can be left on all night to keep everything protected. I'm extremely happy with them, so much so that I have bought more in different colours and sizes. Excellent blanket. I don't very often do reviews and hardly ever find items that I can praise so highly but this one definitely deserves it. Well done to the manufacturer for actually making a product that does what it claims.

Me gustó la textura, el tamaño y el color, yo lo pedí azul, solo que siento que crea estática, yo tengo un sillón de terciopelo y compré este protector para que no se ensuciar a tanto el sillón con mis perritos, pero me ha sido más fácil aspirar los pelos del sillón de terciopelo que del protector, pero bueno, cumple su función de proteger el sillón y todavía no he probado si es waterproof.

Es muy útil para proteger la cama, no pasa ningún líquido ni mancha y protege de las garras de los gatos. Hasta el momento lo he lavado varias veces y no se ha dañado el material. El color palo de rosa es muy elegante y en el reverso tiene un grabado de huellitas, quedó perfecto el tamaño a la cama.

The blanket is well made but it it still moves on the bed. The backing doesn’t hold it in place. We have big dogs, so it may be ok for small or medium dogs.

Excelente protector si tienes perritos. La verdad es que yo lo pongo por encima de mi edredon, y ademas de que tiene protección impermeable es difícil que se ensucie. La textura es un poco dura, pero igual como protector esta perfecto.
