Excellent device. Simply works.
This product is a life saver for me. We have a large property with three buildings too far from each other to easily deploy cat 5 cable. Enter the Ubiquiti Bullet APs mated to backfire antennae - and voila, problem solved. We use these for sending signals from IP cameras on one building to an NVR in another building several hundred feet apart. Also to stream the internet. Once set up properly these Bullets perform perfectly. One precaution that I've taken however is weather protection. I always mount these units inside a length of inch and a half pvc pipe secured and sealed to the back of the backfire antenna. with a few holes bored at 6 o'clock to allow air circulation. So I've never experienced the problem of failure due to moisture and water penetration as some people have. Once this is done, you can simply forget about the Bullet - it will work.

Nice unit but this type of radio is only 1x1 single chain
This is a good unit if you want it for a specific reason -- such as an omni antenna. NOTE: I would highly suggest that you look at Ubiquiti's Nanostation M2 (or the loco version) as it is 2x2 mimo aka dual chain with a built in antenna whereas this radio is only 1x1 single chain and you must provide your own antenna. The Nanostations are directional, however. I have one of these Bullets in the center of an RV park and then I have Nanostations around the edges. Users are able to roam the entire park and only see our main SSID across the whole area (it is in WDS mode) and they attach to the radios that provide the best signal and throughput. This works very, very well in Ubiquiti's system. The Nanos at the edges receive the signal from the central office, quite a distance away, and then bounce it back to take care of users that are closer to the Nanos than the central office. So I think of the Nano's more as reflectors and the Bullet with an omnidirectional antenna is supposed to act more as a "hop" or range extender to fill in a hole in the center. I notice that my users are attaching to the Nanos far more often and the Bullet is sitting without much use. I'm going to try a different antenna on the Bullet to see if that helps it provide better service. No matter what, it won't be able to match the 2x2 mimo that the nano's provide for devices that are able to make use of that protocol. Plus, the connections between the Nano radios and the main Ubiquiti Rocket at the office are better/faster even though they are longer distances since they make use of the 2x2 and have more focused beam paths from the directional antennas.

2.4GHz access point, very sensitive
Attached to a 1M long 12dB gain omni antenna and mounted at high point on my 9 acres near my starlink, now have wifi coverage on all of it. Does NOT include POE adapter, be careful to get one with correct ratings & voltage - check documentation on ubiquiti for part number. Also for boutdoor, get ubiquiti surge protector and ground it. I have no opinion about capacity but works well for a few security & game cameras and wifi calling. Receiver sensitivity is great, coverage area good for me with the big antenna.

Great value
I use these on my boat as a WiFi station to access shore-based Wifi. It has great range and speed. Be sure to pair it with a good antenna. I use a XRDS-RF omni-directional antenna. Despite not being intended for a marine environment, they last 3-5 years. At the price, I'm satisfied. Complicated to set up. You will need some networking experience.

Excellent Wireless Bridge
I purchased this unit to act as a wireless bridge. I already have a NETGEAR Orbi Outdoor (RBS50Y) about 20' high which I wanted to connect to from my front gate, which is about 1/3 mile from the house with a large oak and cedar tree in the way. I have this directly connected to a Tupavco TP511 Panel Antenna and am getting a consistent 52 Mbps throughput using 2.4Mhz @ 20 MHz channel width. I am very pleased with this performance and the fact that I didn't have to purchase a separate point-to-point bridge to make that distance. I am running a camera and gate control via this wireless link with all powered by 12v deep cycle battery (charged by solar). Even though this unit is spec'd at 24v, it has no problem (at least for me) being powered via passive POE connected to the 12v battery. I'll probably pick up a couple more of these to add network connectivity for cameras at the back of my property as well. Unit seems well-built and software is feature-rich, giving great control over the radio, router, and logging / monitoring capabilities.

Not so consumer friendly but awesome capability!
I've been a network wrangler for decades so using this was only a bit difficult (vernacular issues). I'm using it in my travel trailer, mounted on the 'bat-wing' TV antenna mast with a 12db omni to reach out to more hotspots to 'feed' my WifiRanger with. It would be simpler perhaps with using the WifiRanger setup, but this saved me lots of money doing it myself. I've used these at work to bridge ethernet from point to point with great success, with both omni and Yagi antennas. Great weather resistance and reliability. I expected to pay a lot more than I did, so doubly pleased. There are some UTube videos explaining how to set up for camper use that will help you get that done if you choose. Worth your effort!
