I bought two sets of these double-packs to make a 'light-stick' for a trike. You can't get decent LED sticks in the UK, and the equivalent American products cost well in excess of £120 plus import tax. All I can say is that for the cost of a clear perspex tube and some insulation tape these little guys produce an utterly STUNNING alternative for a quarter of the price. I can't attest to the relibility of the timer as I don't need that function. The remote control, however, works flawlessly. You get one remote for each set, yet mine runs all 4 sets of lights from one button. Probably the best product I have ever bought from Amazon. And cheap too!! : )

They snapped a week after putting them up waste of money

I bought 2 packs of these lights (4 strings altogether). They are brilliant! I used one set to wind around the bannisters (just about long enough!), another to decorate small branches I had brought in from the garden to stand in my porch, another to put in a glass vase with some baubles, and another set to create a Christmas tree on the wall. It all looked so pretty, I was well chuffed with the effects.They each needed three AA batteries, so they were more expensive than the lights themselves, but at least I had the freedom to place the lights where I wanted, instead of needing power sockets. The remote controls were already fitted with button batteries, and they have a range of settings. You can even set it to switch the lights on for six hours, off for 18, so helps to save battery power. However this function didn't work with a couple of the light strings (you get one remote control for each string). Maybe I had too many in close proximity but never mind, it wasn't a big problem for me.The only downside is that the copper wiring is super thin and can get kinked quite easily, and also a bit off a faff to untangle, but patience is a virtue...!

I just don’t know how they make these lights for this price as they are fantastic. I have three sets of these lights around my garden I have them on timer so they come on around 6 pm until midnight they twinkle away and very pleasant on the eye. They are battery controlled and have a remote control and although I am about five metres away from the control box the remote works fine so no need to go into the garden to turn them on and off. They require three AA batteries, Not included in the box but there is cheap as chips to buy. These lights have eight different settings, the copper wire is so thin you can hardly see it with the naked eye and as I said before they are very robust. I’ve had one set now for over 14 months and it still works fine, so if you need some fairy lights just to brighten up your garden or maybe your bedroom these are the ones I recommend. I’ve also got three sets of these lights in my home around mirrors etc. They really do brighten up the place and a lot of people commented on how nice they look. Five stars from me what a fantastic product.

Although these are quite nice fairy lights at a reasonable price, i found that one of the remote control functions did not work as categorised. The lights are meant to have different levels of lights/ static or flashing in different ways. But one of the remote controls turned on the same feature on every single number setting from 1-8!!! However, the lights are a nice feature regardless. The only other point to note is that the wire for the fairy lights are so super thin, that it is really easy for them to get tangled up when you are trying to unravel them to create your display.

These are gorgeous!Reading reviews some say they arent good, but bought them as was a really good price for black friday. These are really pretty. So easy to hang up, each individual row has its own hook and plenty of lead in between to space them out. Long wire from USB to the beginning of the lights, so good if your plug isn't that close!Havent put them on in the dark yet as only just got them but even if daylight they are really bright! Remote control is easy to use, no having to push really hard on the buttons like some remotes.They are on a copper wire and make them look really dainty, so doesn't look stupid or thick.5* +++
