Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge, 150 PSI, Backlit LCD & Torch

Great little pressure gauge. Small, compact and easy to use with a backlit display and choice of pressure units. I've had this for a couple of years and still in the original batteries. Feels like it's made of cheap plastic but so far has lasted well and always works and seems accurate compared to a couple of pumps. Kept in car passenger door bin for easy access and so I always know where it is. Would definitely recommend it if you are going to look after it, maybe not if you are going to throw it around and drop it on concrete all day.

Good value. Easy to use. Only had it a day and quickly checked 8 tyers with it. Seems ok. Can't comment on longevity yet but so far so good. Only 4 stars as I can't comment on how long it will last.

During the icy weather the built-in battery of the old gauge failed. As its battery could not be replaced I had to dispose of the gauge. I wanted its replacement to be capable of taking new batteries, so this was a desirable feature for me with the new gauge. The built-in battery of the previous gauge had lasted a very long time; it will be interesting to see how long the replaceable batteries last in the new gauge. It is easy to use and the light might be useful on a dark night. The display screen is easy to read. As I only ever measure my tyre pressures in psi I would prefer not to have the option of being able to select other pressure units but I recognise that having this facility makes the gauge more applicable in other countries where psi is not used. The handle of this gauge is slightly wider than its predecessor, which makes it comfortable to hold. I have never previously had a gauge that measures in units down to 0.1psi. This is interesting but is not essential to me as I had always previously been quite happy with units down to 0.5psi!. I have used the gauge only once so far but it worked just fine and it seems to have been a good buy.

This brief review supercedes the earlier comments below and relates to a replacement kindly provided by AstroAI. The new AstroAI tyre gauge is slightly different in having different batteries. More importantly it seals to the tyre valve reliably. The bright display is useful and the reading resolution of 0.1psi is very good. Original Review on Gauge with 2 AAA Batteries: The gauge looks like it should be ideal with its good resolution of pressure (0.1psi) and easily replaced batteries. The gauge is let down by difficulty getting it to seal quickly to the tyre valve. However carefully I try to make it contact it nearly always loses pressure by 1 to 2 psi. Quite frustrating for what is otherwise a good gauge.

I wanted to check that my tyre inflator was accurate. This item is very reasonably priced (in my opinion), works perfectly straight out of the box - just press start and use - and is very accurate (well, it matches my tyre inflator values exactly so unless they are both inaccurate to the exact same degree etc). Well pleased with this purchase.

Easy to use and like light to help you see. Have only used it a few times and on button has popped off so has left a hole in its place, not well made but measurements are accurate

Would be okay if you only measure 1 car. Then accurate measurement is less of a thing. As soon as you have figured out the corresponding reading with the actual pressure inside tyre, you’re okay! In my case, I am not sure if this is a keeper. Love the format, build quality, legibility and the use of AAA batteries. Better than “button-cells” Edit 28/3/23 I have decided to keep the pressure gauge. Readings are consistent. The gauge showed me that 1 tyre is consistently losing air. I would've never found out on a normal petrol-station as there it immediately starts to fill up the tyre to required level. Now I was able to tell the tyre fitter how much it lost over 3x 3 days and he only had to check valve and soap tyre/wheel to find out that wheel was leaking air. So regardless the inaccurate yet consistent reading, less is less and tells me that tyre loses air.

Really happy with this tyre pressure gauge. It's quick and easy to use, the digital display is clear and the readings are consistent. Compact enough to keep in the car or garage and makes checking tyre pressures very simple. Does exactly what it should. Highly recommended.

Bottom line up front: Highly recommend; great value for the money. The unit arrived quickly and was well packaged. I liked the fact that batteries were included, pre-installed, and still working well (there's a battery life indicator included on the display). The instructions were minimal, but clear; there isn't much more than an on/off button, which is also used to change units (psi/bar/KPa, etc.). It's lightweight, plastic, but seems well-built; the valve is brass with a lighted ring around it. The display is LCD, and has large, black numbers that are easy to read, even in bright sunlight. The display is also backlit, so you can read the pressure values in low light as well. I tried it out on my truck tires. As long as you push the gauge firmly onto the valve stem, a display is shown in less than a second. The comfortable pistol grip made it easy to keep proper alignment when pressing the valve down to take the readings. I checked my tire readings using this digital gauge against an analog dial pressure gauge, and both readings were reasonable close in value (this gauge's display reads to 1/10th of a psi, but who needs to know their tire pressure to that accuracy?). The unit also came with an adapter to be able to read from Presta valves, which are used on some narrow-rimmed, high-end bicycles.
