good reed for repairs and to be creative

This reed was quite helpful when came time to repair cat claw holes from our chair. After soaking it, it was quite easy to braid it as required

Measure after clearing out the old spline!!!

I wish I had measured after clearing out the old spline in my caning project, had to return this because I measured it beforehand and it was just not accurate enough, but the material was great and as described.

This is round spline not tapered spline for pre-woven cane.

Spline is shaped like a V NOT round reed which doesn’t hold in the groove

Product is advertised as spline and is NOT. In reality it is round reed. I’ve been caning for 45 years and nowhere in product description does it say round reed.

its not for chair caning.

This is round reed spline. it is not tapered. It is not suitable for chairs. This stuff is for baskets and other crafts. NOT for re-caning chairs.
