How long will it keep basil?

Basil does not like cold and should not be refrigerated. Place it into a vessel as you would fresh flowers. Remove the bottom leaves and cut the stems.

will this product work even if not placed in fridge?

It will keep the herbs as well as a cup on your table…definitely works best in the fridge…but it does work pretty great in a cooler (we took it camping as well)

The glass tube broke at the bottom. Can I purchase a replacement for it?

I don't think you can buy a replacement it is one piece

How many bunches of cilantro would fit in the herb keeper?

Cilantro in S.F. Bay Area are quite small these days. Armed with that caveat: four (4) bunches.
