Grandkids love it but its pretty flimsy. Top didnt last long before it dry rotted.

What you should know... this sandbox is worth every cent! Im so happy that I didnt go with the plastic turtle with lids as it was almost the same price. This is a quality sandbox made from quality materials. It took 2 of us 2 hours to fully assemble. Super easy and great instructions. Took us 7 bags of 50# playsand to fill.

Id give it 4/5. Overall the appearances really pleasing and the fold-out benches are really cool but the wood is soft and the bolt attachment for the canopy feels a bit awkward. If there was a block on the bolt head so that when you're twisting it would sit inside the groove unable to turn when tightened down that would be a massive improvement for not much of a cost difference. since there's no way to really hold on to the bolt while turning the knob it makes it hard to really tighten down. I'll probably just grab the hardware from Lowe's or home Depot or something but other than that the instructions were very simple and the assembly was very easy so long as you have two brain cells and can read. I did have an issue with not enough screws but it was fine since I had some lying around and it was only 2. The biggest recommendation I would really make aside from the changing of the bolt type for the canopy would be maybe add Velcro for the sand tarp similar to what you did for the canopy. I'm going to grab some wood and a staple gun to secure it in place personally since it kind of just sits in there but the canvas material looks good and I'm excited to see the kids playing in it! The Velcro canopy may also be really interesting to watch fly away once hurricane season comes back around but we'll see what happens since I'm able to lower it.

This was bought as a birthday gift for my son. He loves it and wants to go play in it every day. Closing it up at night is so easy. The one thing that is difficult is opening by yourself( the canopy)

Ok, it’s a little ridiculous that we bought this thing. After doing it, I kicked myself For not just buying some 2x8’s and making a square. HOWEVER, this is a dang nice sandbox and I’ll rate highly. I’m impressed with the dang thing. .it deserves good ratings. The kid really is impressed too. If you’re in a nice neighborhood with a nice backyard and a little concerned with being ghetto with a couple 2x8’s screwed together like we were and didn’t want to go cheap with a couple 2x8s…..this is your box o’ sand to buy. I just wish I had thought it through. Easy to build, looks great. It’s actually kind of comfortable for me to sit on it/in it. I

This is a really cute sandbox with a lot of potential!! The benches fold out nicely and the canopy creates really good shade for the sandbox. However, the quality of the wood is not good. I used all the screws it provided with the prefilled holes and the wood still split. The top where the canopy is is very flimsy, the support beams are really wobbly and the staples where it connects to a “T” on top have come out on both sides. I really love the design I just wish the quality of wood was better ! Easy assembly as well.

We purchased this sandbox for our daughter for her birthday in April. Easy to put together and I loved the canopy during the hot summer. The canopy is a little difficult to raise by yourself but it can be done, I'm 5'4" and have to go slow, but get it accomplished. My husband can easily raise it with no problem but he's 5'10" with a longer wingspan. The canopy cover (thin canvas) has not weathered the summer well, already developing a hole where rain water collects. We patched it with some duck tape and has helped keep the water out. The benches are easy to open and close and are sturdy. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with kids.

Don’t buy it , I thought a cute simple idea for my kids , The nails don’t hold very well. It’s been less than a week and the canopy screws have broken off . Very cheap wood! Assembly was easy enough . But overall not a good product and I feel like I wasted my money .
