Distilled Water 30%, Glycerol 10%, calcium Carbonate 8%, Stearic Acid 8%, Talcum powder 6%. And other stuff. I stopped after seeing Talcum powder. And regret using it on kids before seeing this!

can you mix the colors to make darker colors easily?

An 8 year old is completely capable of applying the makeup as long as he/she understands to not get too close to the eyes. It's easy to apply and washes off easily as well.
