I am 5'4" tall and weight 130 lbs. The sock part of this is almost impossible to get into. **Q: What shoe width are these? My husband needs a wide.** A: If your husband needs a wide size I would go elsewhere for 2 reasons...1.)I wear a 9.5 EEE so I bought their X-Large size, 10.5 - 11.5. The slippers I received were too small, not long enough and definitely NOT wide enough. My feet hang over the sides of the cushion sole and are very uncomfortable to walk in around the house. I found a pair on Amazon that were 'open box' @ a very reduced price and were a XX-Large size so I bought them. When I received them they were even MORE narrow than the first, smaller size. See the second reason why. 2.)acorn slippers are no longer made in Maine...the bottom of the slippers I got say MADE IN CHINA! Their website lies and says they are made in Maine. I will NEVER buy another acorn product as long as I live. I also bought a pair of their slouch boots @ the same time I got these slipper socks and they are also made in china. I mean, these are slipper socks for indoor use! These are not shoes! If you want to walk outside in the snow, put on shoes or boots and then go outside ...I have two pair of these and they are great! I really like the real leather soles and foam insole, instead of the cheap plastic soles that are sold on most house shoes ... They were a little tight on my ankles when new, but they relaxed a bit and fit perfectly now.These are perfect for letting the TV watch you, sauntering, meandering, posing, consuming hot beverages, midnight strolls through the house, napping and all sorts of other indoor inactivity ...It has been a few years, and I must say, my Acorn's are still working strong. It is about 60 degrees inside, and I'm working in the garage on a cold concrete slab. The sock portion does Not have a heel; they are tube socks with a footpad sewn on. This means there is a little tightness getting your foot past the turn and then you end up with a roll of sock over your upper foot. Once that is all made comfortable, you are good to go.I wear mine indoors and out for short trips to the patio and backyard. The sole material looks to be durable enough to last more than one season with this type of use.
