The seventh studio album by the German electronic band. Includes the singles 'Neon Lights', 'The Robots' and 'The Model'. Review: German masterpiece - Well what can you say? Man Machine was released in 1978 by the electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. I would recommend to buy this German language version of the album in order to get the full Kraftwerk experience! These remastered CDs sound great and the booklets are fantastic. Very well produced and presented. This will be out of print soon, so get it while you can. An Iconic album. Review: New - Great album

Die Mensch- Maschine!
This has and always will be one of my favourite albums. I have various copies of this but never could get hold of the German version. It sounds more edgy in German and all titles are great. Never ever get tired of listening to this Highly recommended

Wunderbar!
Listening to Kraftwerk in their original German makes so much more sense. It all sounds much more menacing and sounds like a better fit. Love it!

Red vinyl edition looks great and has better bass balance than original German language CD version
When these remasters came out on vinyl/CD around decade ago the reaction of fans was very mixed. Furthermore some of the albums sounded better in either their German or English variant, but not always both. I didn't buy any of the vinyl then, as bar Autobahn have original vinyl editions that still play well, but picked up a few of the CDs. Computerwelt survived the remastering better than it's English language counterpart, oddly, whilst both versions of Techno Pop were harsher, to my ears, than the original Electric Cafe CD I've kept hold of! Sometimes the enhanced bass seemed to cause some issues with higher frequencies. I therefore plumped for just one of these coloured vinyl reissues to see how it went, and Die Mensch Maschine was a good choice, to be fair. This is my favourite Kraftwerk album sung in German - it just adds something and everything works perfectly. This new 180g translucent red pressing is very slightly dished, and very slightly off-centre, but neither of these are unusual in current pressings, and neither seem to audibly effect playback. My copy initially skipped on Space Lab, but after a few further wipes with a carbon fibre brush settled down fine (there were some white particles from the inner sleeve on the otherwise pristine vinyl. The bass is punchier than on the original vinyl, or CDs, but doesn't over-dominate. The sound is warm and crisp, and apart from a couple of one-off crackles on side 1 the pressing had no problematic surface noise. The revised artwork and booklet work well, and give the release quite a deluxe feel (I am guessing they are the same as the previous black vinyl release?), as does the spined outer-sleeve. Quite impressed with the vinyl sound, and would recommend hunting out this German language version in preference to the English one. It's a classic album and the mastering/vinyl cut here give it the attention it deserves (certainly on my copy).

Wunderschöne HiFi-Pressung! If you know these songs it wont matter whether you speak German. I can sing along in English with these. The art design is beautifully realized. The sound is clear, with good separation dynamic range, and frequency clarity.
