Wow
I got this for bushcrafting and so far im beyond impressed with how comfortable and sharp it is. Easily the sharpest knife I’ve ever had straight out the box. Shave your face sharp. The sheath hold very well with a very grabby clip. The only reason for holding the last star is the spine is a 90 but polished so im not sure its a sharp 90. But but but i think I will change that because they crushed every other box. Feels like im holding a high end knife and in my eyes it is but for the price im only looking at morakniv for my future purchases. The sheath with the steel would have been nice but once again I would not expect it at the price point. Great craftsmanship Morakniv!!!! Update. The heel of the blade chipped a little and I have on fiddled with cutting a chopstick. So for whatever that’s worth, there you have it

The Morakniv Companion Knife, the best knife on the planet for under $20.
The Morakniv Companion Fixed Blade Knife, in my opinion, is probably the best overall fixed blade knife for its price to quality ratio. The knife costs a little over $15 for the black handled one, but man you get so much worth out of it that it probably pays for itself over and over again. Morakniv's have been made in Mora, Sweden, since 1891 so needless to say they are very proud of their knife making abilities, and it shows in the knife's overall craftsmenship. The blade on the knife is made of hardened high-quality Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, which provides excellent edge performance allowing for razor sharpness, a high hardness rating (HRC 56-58), and exceptional toughness and superior corrosion resistance. The overall length of the blade is 4.1 inches and 0.1 inches thick, the overall length of the whole knife is 8.75 inches and it weighs only 4.1 ounces. This knife comes extremely razor sharp right out of the box. The handle is made out of a rubber that's patterned, giving it a high friction grip and making it very easy to hold and grip no matter the task at hand. It does come with a black plastic sheath with a belt holder, but this is the one weak spot with this blade, as it does allow for the blade to move slightly in the sheath and it doesn't offer superior protection like a kydex sheath would. Still, it's a nice compliment to have for the blade, and you could always upgrade the sheath at a later time. This fixed blade outdoor knife is perfect for a variety of outdoor activities, including making fire tinder, cutting wood, carving wooden tools, prepping food, making sparks with a Swedish fire steel, and much more. Every outdoor enthusiast, camper, survivalist, and anyone else looking for a solid, dependable knife should definitely add the Morakniv Companion fixed blade to their collection, and watch it outperform the majority of your much more expensive blades. I will be buying multiple Morakniv's in the future for friends, family, and even myself. This is my EDC knife.

Mora wins a new loyalist
I learned about Morakniv from a friend. Looking for a general use outdoor knife, I could not be happier. At this price, I discovered what many other people already had: this knife has value that is hard to beat.It slices well, coming razor sharp out of the box. I had no idea what a Scandi grind was until I researched Mora, but it is clear that this thing will perform in most tasks I throw at it. It's incredibly light and deceptively strong. The handle was very ergonomic for my big square hand, and the rubberized part gives a firm and confident grip. I can stab, slice, whittle, etc. fluidly.I added a Kansbol for slightly more specialized tasks, but if I was bringing only one blade, the companion is so versatile it can stand in for almost any task I can think about camping or hiking. The sheath might wear out with a lot of use, but is snug, and some people recommend heating it under hot water to tighten it up if it starts to get too loose. Otherwise it seems very safe when sheathing, unsheathing, and when handling the knife. There is apparently a growing community of people who do things like baton knives. I don't do that, so I can't speak to it.

Super Sharp
These knives are so inexpensive yet good quality. This knife came super sharp out of the packing, so sharp my son literally gives it a thumbs up, he cleanly sliced off a chunk of his thumb. Found the perfectly round sliver of his thumb on the blade when we got back from urgent care, so I yeah this is a sharp blade. Needless to say this knife is on my belt not his!

Knife collector impressed by design
I am a knife collector. I have bought a lot of knives. Some cheap and some very expensive. I like knives that are unique in design, so I have some interesting blades in my collection. I saw this one and thought I would buy a cheap knife from Sweden for my collection, but it is not in my collection. It's on my hip right now. This knife is designed to be a practical working blade in a durable working sheath. The surgical grade stainless steel is hard and really holds an edge. I'm not a fan of polished blades, too flashy, but this blade is polished for good reason. Polished blades don't hold food, blood, dirt or anything else that can get caked on mat finished blades. I can use this blade in the kitchen or at the dinner table as well as during my normal work day for cutting anything that can be cut with a razor sharp blade. The handle fits the hand perfectly, giving good control and comfort even during hard repetitive tasks. The included sheath fits the knife and locks it in so it won't pop out. The sheath is wide, so it is easy to drop the knife into and doesn't touch the blade, and has a great belt clip set up that locks around a belt but is easy to slip off or hang in a pocket or waistband. I only got this knife a few days ago, but I already feel like its the best knife I have for every day life. A great companion. Bravo Morakniv!

Great for the $.
Good size and shape. Snaps securely into hard sheath. Holds an edge nicely. Not hard to sharpen. Great for camping, keeping in your vehicle. Seems like it would make a good hunting knife, if the sheath suits you for that purpose.
