Easy to use and works great for cracks on a plaster wall
We have a 120 year old home with plaster walls. With that you get cracks especially around big picture windows. I saw an ad for this in an issue of "This Old House" and purchased the kit just to try it out. Glad I did, as I was able to easily fix 3 cracks in just a matter of minutes. The paste is thick and the "tape" goes on easy. Basically just clean the area to be repaired with a rag, apply with a paint brush, lay in the tape and smooth it out with the enclosed tool. Wait 10-20 minutes for it to dry a bit and then go over it once more. Again, using the smoothing tool feather it out to make a smooth finish. Once it drys you can paint over it. I am not great at feathering, etc., but it was pretty easy. Just take your time and it will look great. For me I was less concerned about getting the smoothing just right but rather wanting to take care of the crack. In my opinion, great product and the kit will go a long way.

Where gas this been all my life?!
Incredible product. I own an old house with plaster under a staircase. With constant use the staircase vibrates and shifts the plaster, which results in inevitable cracks. I was consigned to troweling joint compound, sanding and touching up with paint on a yearly basis. With Krack Kote, I can see a brighter crack free future. I ran out of the fabric cloth, but I got a bigger roll through the manufacturer’s website. I have sometimes used it without the tape for tiny cracks, and it seems to hold up well. Glad I found this!

Great stuff for permanent repair of what are otherwise chronic cracks.
Been using this stuff for 20 years and have yet to have a crack reappear. You have to get the hang of using it and a less is more approach is best due to this product not being sandable. It is very effective though. I've used it to repair corner bead fracture lines and bad drywall seams. Overall, I am very happy with this product.

Excellent product!
Have used this product for years. It does a fabulous job, particularly on cracks that continue expanding/contracting due to weather changes. It seems to need replacement after 10 years or so (depending on how much shifting occurs in the cracks and how much continued settling occurs in the house) - but it is far better than anything else we've tried.Disappointed that additional bridge tape and larger sizes of the emulsion cannot be purchased on Amazon, as this product is very difficult to locate in local stores. (Called one today that is listed on the Abatron website as a supplier - they never heard of it!) HELLO ABATRON - PLEASE ADD MORE OPTIONS HERE ON AMAZON!Important to follow the instruction carefully, watch online videos - and enjoy crack-free walls for many years!

Not really worth the trouble (as of now)...
I bought this stuff for a house I'm repairing that has a good number of obviously recurring cracks.... I can't comment on the success of this product in preventing these cracks from returning (as I just finished putting it on 20 minutes ago), but my god how absolutely difficult this stuff is to work with! It's a warm humid day and it's setting before I can really feather it out evenly...I read in the manual that if it's too thick, you can add a little water, but that didn't help in the least bit! Now all I can do is pray that this stuff actually does sand so I can get a moderately even surface to paint, or at least spackle over the clearly pitted surface so it doesn't look like a 5 year old did it.... Honestly, I think I'll just keep spackling over the plaster cracks from now on.... I think I've lost west little hair I had left working with this stuff....Update: So I screwed around with it some more and just a hint for anyone looking for advice on the project. 1. It does not sand. The other reviewer must be using something else because this does not sand at all. 2. Take their "feathering" tool and throw it out. Use a wide, stiff putty knife. I went back over the 3 spots I filled yesterday (that ended up looking like the crater of the moon), threw another coat over them, and then hit it with a fair amount of pressure with a putty knife and it looks much more smooth than it did yesterday. Any spots that didn't immediately smooth, throw a little more of the product on it and hit it with the blade again. Make sure you keep wiping the blade clean after every pass, otherwise it'll leave a mark.I still don't know if this product is worth the trouble, but hopefully, if you're in the same boat that I was, this might help you out a bit.
