Viking Drill and Tool by Norseman 12250 Silver and Deming-4SP Type 280-UB Magnum Super Premium Reduced Shank Drill Set

I previously owned a set of the same type of bits, 135* split points, the $85 set. It goes up to 1/2" and has impressed me more than any other drill bit I've used that wasn't a dedicated lathe or mill bit. These are by far the best bits I've used in a drill press and hand drill. I bought this set to drill larger holes in aluminum and stainless steal. No issues. I'm saving up to the complete set of bits (115 piece) for the shop. Norseman/Viking drill bits, have me as a customer for life. I'll never buy anything else.If you're looking for something to drill softer materials like plastics, use something else. These are sharp enough to grab softer materials and push into them, potentially cracking. They make duller bits made for drilling PVC or acrylic, etc. Use those. These are for brass, iron, aluminum, stainless, etc.

Unbelievably tough and sharp

These worked great. I had to drill through the front knuckle on my truck and this did a good job. Still sharp after both knuckles.
