Always use luca 80w-90 in ford ranger 2.3l, 7.5" rear diff. wanted to try this. any issues with it being a 75w vs 80w? is this better than lucas?

I use the royal purple 75w-90 in my RAM 2500 differential. My differential is made by American Axle Manufacturing and I talked with one of their mechanical engineers who said the viscosity requirement is determined by several criteria with ambient and operating temperature being big determinants. I live in a warm climate so he said I could use a heavier weight oil. With that knowledge I don't believe there is a big enough difference between the 75 and 80 other the better lubricity at lower ambient and operating temperature. He did recommend amsoil but said the royal purple is just as good.

I've had the best experience with Redline MT90 in manual transmissions. RP was not working well with syncros (grinding gears when shifting).

I know that the product description says that it is not for use in wet clutch systems, but will it be okay for use in motorcycle final gear (shaft)

Will be fine as a motorcycle final gear oil. I use this product in two BMW motorcycles, a BMW R1150RT and a R1200S, as a final drive oil and also as the transmission oil.
