Give it a try. It's like black pepper but different. It's got more of like a botanical flavor than black pepper, I don't know how else to describe it. Goes great on lots of stuff, has become a regular part of my kitchen spices

Smelled and tasted fine. I stick with this brand and have not been disappointed.

Used this for a spiced coffee cake. Arrived promptly. Worked well in the cake, but I have a lot left over! Wish it was available in a smaller size.

I bought this to add to smoothie as recommended by Dr Michael Greger for extra antioxidants. But I have been using as I would regular pepper. Love it.

My preference is fresh grind. Thought I would try packaged grind... not my favorite. I'm probably picky, so I still rated with five stars.

Everything you would get in black pepper but so much more in the back ground. A lot of subtle flavors not found in black pepper or you would need to use so much to get that it would be too spicy! I espcially like the Long Pepper in soups!

This packet I received had no aroma and no spice. It tasted like dirt.
