Good for Most Common Sized Bolts.
I used this kit when repairing my table saw and jumping jack. It covers most common sizes, both metric and standard bolt sizes; however, be aware that it does not include a handle for the thread cutters so you will need to have or purchase one separate. Otherwise, for bolts that donโt require a high torque value, this is a very good kit to have on hand.

This kit covers a lot of common sizes, both metric and standard bolt sizes. However it does not include a handle for the thread cutters, so you will need to have or purchase one separate. Otherwise, for bolts that dont require a high torque value, this is a very good fix.

A great selection of sizes
Worked great. Buy this set and you should never need to buy any again. It will be nice to have them when threads get ruined instead of having to put the project on hold.

Stripped Fastener Hole in Engine Case
Bought this to repair a stripped threaded hole for a BMW R1200GS related to the engine guard. Something that is not uncommon since most people do not torque most fasteners. This is why it is so important to torque to the correct values. Aluminum threads are so easy to strip. Anyway, I opened up the hole, installed the insert and finally the fastener. Even though the insert is steel, you still have to torque the fastener to the proper specification as you do not want to strip the threads on the insert. The kit does come with both imperial (US Standard) and metric sizes. It does include everything you need. The instructions leave a little to be desired as they are on a small card so itโs difficult to see the pictures and itโs not very clear how to break the installation tab once the insert is installed. While it may seem counter intuitive, follow them literally and the tab will break off.
