Simple and neat! I wish there was a larger model
Great little product. I bought it for my small moth orchid that wasn’t doing well after not having the right conditions for a year. The constant heat, light and humidity has worked wonders and now my orchid is doing so much better with three new roots and two new leaves over the past 8 weeks, I really wish they made a larger version just because even though my plant is small it’s still a tight squeeze. Once you get the lighting timer set you really don’t have to do much except keep the plant watered (I personally don’t fill up the reservoir but just mist my orchid’s roots every two days so that I don’t overwater).

The box is gorgeous and so easy to use!!!
I purchased the Orchidbox to grow a few small plants and I just LOVE IT. The electronics are very impressive. You can set the amount of hours and intensity that the light is on depending on your needs. The box also tells you when you need to add water and it comes with a very handy watering bottle. The box is also SO beautiful. I have it on my kitchen counter and when the light comes on in the morning, it just appears to glow!!

Cool Little Box - Just Be Careful of Leaks
Update 6/19/2023: After a few months of use, still continues to go strong. My only complaint at this point is the lack of any kind of onboard memory for the light brightness and on/off cycle times. Whenever there is a power outage, even a brief one, the box completely resets. This may be fine for some plants, but I'm growing an orchid that has very specific lighting requirements, and the lack of onboard memory for brightness and cycle times is a pretty significant annoyance. For this reason, I'm reducing my review to three stars from four. If future iterations included onboard memory, this would be a nearly perfect little terrarium.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Really cool adjustable terrarium. Very simple setup for novice growers. Had an issue with the first one where it was leaking all over my desk. Ordered a replacement and returned the original, and so far, the new one appears to be watertight. Seller indicated there is a known manufacturing issue that may affect a very small number of units (I was unlucky with the first one, I guess). I have a lepanthes telipogoniflora in mine and it seems very happy (as does the moss growing on its mount). Overall, happy with this little terrarium!

Disappointing performance.
Seems to be well built and it looks great but the beautiful little orchid I have had for six years has slowly been dying since I moved it into the orchidbox. Never received a response when I emailed the company for suggestions. The orchidbox has never followed any of the schedule settings. Bit of a bummer given the cost (and wanting to keep my orchid alive).

Great item and easy to use
I'm very happy with the Orchid Box - the directions are simple and so easy to set up. It's working great for a very rare seedling orchid I'm trying to grow.

Cool product but buyer beware - company might be out of business
It's a super cool device to bring some nature into dark areas of your home, particularly for my home office that is a renovated garage with no windows. However, there are a few downsides. First is, while the OrchidBox itself comes with a manual and setup guide, if you're able to find a plant kit (more on this in a second), it literally comes with nothing but the plant wrapped in a wet paper towel in a baggie. I received one of these for Christmas with a moss kit, and it's basically dead and I have no idea why. Did I mist too much? Not enough? I'm no green thumb.Second, and this one is pretty minor, but if you do any video work in the nearby vicinity, you'll want to turn it off or move it somewhere else. The LEDs have quite a bit of strobing that will easily be picked up by anything the light touches. It's invisible to the naked eye, but it's something to be aware of.Lastly, if you go to OrchidBox's website and social media outlets, you'll find no posts in several months, as well as a very limited product selection (everything's sold out) on their website. Contacting them yields no response, and I'm not the only one with that issue.Again, it's a really cool product, but just beware that, if something goes wrong with the unit, you're out of luck aside from an Amazon return.
