Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Storage 4.7-Cup Food Containers with Lids Set of 3 Clear

I wanted to get away from the plastic containers and go with glass. The trade-off is glass containers will be heavier. But we’re good with that. Pros: * Seals tight. I filled them all up with water and turn them upside down and none of them leaked. * Durable. While we wash the glass in the dishwasher, we still choose to wash the tops by hand even though they say they are dishwasher safe. Unlike some brands, these tops appear very durable. Looks like this set will last for many years. * Interchangeable tops. Several of the sizes use the same tops. * Stackable. This style stacks better than any that we’ve had before. I really like the rectangle sizes. They Stack in the cabinets or refrigerator more efficiently than our old round ones. They also fit perfectly in our lunch box for work. * Sizes. Everyone’s needs are different but these particular sizes meet our needs perfectly. No itty-bitty containers. Perfect sizes for leftovers and lunches. Cons: * Price. I did not go looking for other options to see if this set was significantly cheaper elsewhere. But they do appear a bit pricey. * My issue was trying to find the sizes of the containers that are included in this nine piece set (9 containers with 9 tops). So below is what we received: 1 (8 cup) @ 11-1/2” x 7-1/2” x 2-3/4” tall 1 (4.7 cup) @ 8” x 5-1/4” x 3-1/2” tall 2 (3.2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2-1/2” tall 2 (2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2” tall 3 (1.3 cups) @ 5-3/4” x 3-3/4” x 2-3/4” tall After using this set for a few more months, we will see what sizes we use most and supplement it with more of the same brand of containers. We like doing our food prep over the weekends and this style is perfect for our needs. They do keep our food fresher for a longer period of time due to the tight seal. Plus we like not having our food in plastic due to all the health concerns (especially when we warm up our food in the microwave). Hope this helps you.

I have a similar set in plastic (Rubbermade Brillance) so when I saw that it was available in glass, I bought it. Plastic containers will crack and discolor, the glass set has not. The lids are interchangeable between the two sets. They make a tight seal and keep the food fresh. They are dishwasher safe but I wash the lids by hand. They are heavier than the plastic. Feel thick and sturdy but, obviously, they are glass and would break if dropped.

Picked up this set mainly for leftovers, and that’s where these really shine. The biggest benefit is obvious—you can reheat food directly in the glass without dealing with plastic getting hot, warping, or picking up stains and smells. That alone makes them worth it. The glass containers are solid and durable, and they clean up easily. No lingering odors or discoloration like you get with plastic. Lids seal up tight and are genuinely leakproof, so storing soups or anything with liquid isn’t a concern. The vent feature is also nice if you’re microwaving. They stack well and the different sizes are actually useful—not a bunch of oddball containers you’ll never use. Things to know: Heavier than plastic (expected) Lids are still plastic, so don’t abuse them with high heat Cost is higher than basic containers, but you’re getting something that lasts Bottom line: If your goal is reheating leftovers without heating plastic, these are a great upgrade. Practical, durable, and they just work.

These are really great food storage containers and I highly recommend them, but, I'm only rating them a 9/10, because I still think that overall, the lids should have been offered with matching lift-off glass versions. The glass is more inert than plastic, plus who doesn't love a lift-off lid for everyday use? I've never been a fan of the clamp style lids, unless you're taking it on a bumpy commute to work or you have to pack it on its side, or something like that. For everyday, I've never liked the idea of clamping lids because they have the effect of pushing whatever you're trying to keep out, into your food, just like a pressure cooker infuses spices into your food due to the pressure. The locking lids do the same thing, except when you're trying to keep things out of your food. A lift-off lid does this at least less, plus, it's easier to use. Anyway, these are really great containers!!! You can tell that a lot of thought went into their design by the many subtle contours of the base, they remind me fully of a good quality old school item, as opposed to something mass produced. And they're flawless, no seam issues, nothing like that. I got these as "take-along" containers for sending food home with people, and I thought the 3.2 cup size was the perfect "Goldilocks-mama bear" size to start out with, though as I can afford it, I'm getting at least one more set, plus smaller and larger sizes. I plan on getting the 8 cup size to store casserole types of dishes in the fridge, and hopefully, then, I can bake in the same dish, even if I have to first bring everything to room temperature before baking. These containers are expensive, but quality basics are worth investing into. And as they say, "poor people can't afford to be cheap," and, "rich man buys nice, poor man buys twice." It will take me a while to get what I need of these food storage containers, but, I would rather bite the bullet and buy the right things instead of anything else. These also stack wonderfully!! And I know the plastic version is more popular, but, glass is so much better for food storage. I don't use a microwave because it destroys the life force (plants given microwaved water do poorly, as opposed to plants given tap water), but, I feel a lot better sending food home with my guests, knowing they will probably heat it up in their microwaves at home, because the glass is such a better container for that. These are great food storage containers for many reasons, and I highly recommend them!!

love this glass storage! These containers seal like a vault! No food odors escape into your fridge. I switched to all glass for food storage, no more plastic. The lids are plastic, though. That may be my only caveat. If you push down too hard to seal the lid, they can crack right in the center. But it seems all lids for all brands and styles can have some sort of crack issue, so it's a trade off. I love the glass, its durable, can be used in the microwave and washed in the dishwasher, no special care required. No issues with staining or odor retention. I've had garlic/italian foods stored as well as mexican foods and no staining nor odors. ZERO issues with leaks. love them. Best in class right now for glass food storage.

Seals super tight and easy, very easy to clean, nothing sticks, nothing stains. So classy looking. Worth the money for the upgrade that will last a long time.

Perfect for freezer and other storage! Lids match up with the plastic version as well as the glass. Airtight and long lasting. I use the glass version to freeze homemade sauce and chili etc. Highly recommend!

These were received as a self-gift, for our home use. We LOVE our friends, BUT grew tired of our friends returning our Tupperware STAINED. This happens every time when the gift contains tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, or other “stainable” food products. (We’re of Italian heritage.) We would always present the food gift saying, “Please, remember to re-heat this [food] in a separate container.” I’d venture that 80% of our friends took the “easy way out”, cooking the food in our plastic containers! When the plastic containers were returned, they were permanently stained and I tossed them! UGH! These glass storage containers with tight fitting snap-on lids, fit our frozen foods MUCH nicer, and the food lays flat (like chicken cacciatore). These containers are easily stackable, the glass is thick enough to be durable from freezer to oven, the snap-on lids keep air out, and the containers are refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave + oven SAFE! I can verify that the seal is tight! I dropped a a closed container of hot spaghetti sauce on it’s side and there was NO leakage! The clear glass provides a clear view the contents, even while frozen. Out of habit, we remove the plastic lids if the glass containers go directly into the microwave or oven for heating the food. For the microwave, we place a “microwave cover” on top. I don’t’t know if the plastic lids are microwave safe. (We’ve used a microwave cover for years, that keeps our microwave clean!) My family member uses these containers for carrying food to work, as well. He now prepares, packs + refrigerates several days worth of lunches in these glass containers. He’s commented that the food stays as fresh in the glass containers, as the food was on day 1! He previously was buying his lunches on a daily basis. These containers have saved a us a bundle of $! In fact, we’ve been SO HAPPY with this purchase of GLASS storage containers, that we were gifted the plastic storage containers (by another family member), of the identical brand, in various sizes*. To my shock, warm/hot spaghetti sauce has been poured multiple times into the plastic containers and the plastic containers DIDN’T stain, either! These are QUALITY products, by a QUALITY brand. I urge you to buy these. You’ll be 100% happy with your purchase! * As a Senior, my hands shake, my grip loosens + I drop a LOT of items: glasses, plates, silverware. etc. I can lift and carry with 1 hand only, as I must hold on to the counter, furniture, railings, etc., when I walk, due to neck and spine issues.

We are pretty fussy and these containers are great quality. They seal well and yes the lids are a bit tight to start off with but hey better than leaking yeah. We bought a large kit with 2 large containers,medium, small and the smaller size that are good for nuts or say protein powder to take with you to work. I use the size pictured for 70gm of home made oat mix with yogurt & blueberries, works perfect. These containers wash up well and are very durable.

This is my 5th purchase of the Rubbermaid brilliance line. I now have gotten rid of all my old containers and have replaced them with a combination of plastic and glass Rubbermaid Brilliance ones including the ones I use for dry foods. I love how they are super clear (and don’t stain), do not leak, and very easy to stack. Having the lids work on both glass and plastic is so useful! The four containers here are good for leftovers as a single meal for lunch. Or I like to use them to store berries after I’ve washed them. I wish this set came with the even deeper rectangular containers. You can ONLY get if you buy the complete glass set which is not cheap and it doesn’t seem to be offered/sold separately. Still very happy with my purchases of the whole line. Almost anyone who has seen them ask about them.

Product was def well designed with user experience in mind. Easy to remove lid, great quality glass, versatile for microwave, oven cooking, and easy to clean. The rubber lining on lid can be removed for cleaning :) The company was also very efficient with shipment and constantly updated me on its status via WhatsApp as well.
