Very good weight, super sharp, very comfortable design. Good, strong clasp for opening and closing. I have only used it for trimming and not for hours on end, but can say it is much better than the cheaper ones I have had before. Bought this because thought it was made in Japan, but apparently it's not. The parts apparently OR design are from Japan, but the box clearly stated that as "Made in China." If it holds up though in the long run, then I'll be ok. If it doesn't I will be very upset. Will have to see. I figured pay a little extra for a good quality one that others say was good, so I took that chance and so far am happy with my purchase.

I got these to be my work pair. (keeping the Felco for manicuring shrubbery)Very good quality. All good quality Japanese metal! Out of the box, not stiff, sharp, great fitting, leverage is on spot.Jury is out on the lock. Having trouble getting used to it. But that is me.Had a Fiskars, but these blow them out of the water. All the plastic on Fiskars make them less than heavy duty. I'm moving away from Fiskar these days for most things. They are still good for light to medium duty. (LOVE their 4 prong stand up weeder!)

Works like expected and worth the price

Felt good in my hand. Trimming a bush the blade bent and wouldn't fully close. Branch was about as thick as my pinkie finger.. Got to use them for about 5 minutes. They would be great if blade material was better quality. They had a nice feel/comfortable in my hand.

Amazing. Works so easily even for my arthritic hands. Cuts much larger branches easily. Highly recommend...

The jaws stay closed with the slightest amount of vegetation stuck in them while cutting. Also "JAPAN" they are NOT . . . Made in China.

The built-in safety lock was not stable as it is said in the following message: "built-in safety lock, never broken or opens accidentally after locked on, MUCH SAFER THAN external lock, and could be opened or locked by one hand, simple, stable and real safe. " It opened accidentally more than 10 times during 2 hours of my work in my garden.
