What do I like about this laptop? -Value for money: you won't find a laptop that looks and feels this good for the price with the specs. Build quality: immaculate. It's not metal, but it's damn tight nonetheless. No screen or keyboard flex, and it feels as solid as a brick-- not overly heavy, just solidly built. Screen quality: amazing. The 240hz display really shines, and the colors are very accurate and vivid. Some other laptops in this price range only cover about 60% of the srgb color gamut, but this one is very close to, if not 100%. For a gamer or someone not doing precise art or visual editing, this is fantastic. Response time is great at 3ms. The included asus software is intuitive for the most part, but I do still have to mess around with it a little bit to master some of the more advanced settings. Thermals: the thermals are typically in a very good range, even under load. I don't own a desk, so I have it resting on my bed when gaming-- that's typically bad for cooling. However, I've kept an eye on the temps, and it hasn't yet gone into a range where I felt it was in danger of throttling. The computer itself stays cool to the touch too, with the exception of the heat vents. Fan noise: even at full speed, they're not annoying. They don't have the higher pitch that some other laptops have (ex: acer helios 300). And when you put them on silent mode? They're inaudible. The keyboard will take some getting used to, I think? But it's still good. The arrow keys are shrunk a little, and I often hit the caps lock key instead of the a key. Also-- can't find the number lock key to turn the trackpad into a touch numberpad? Not a big issue, but very confusing. The lights: very flashy! They aren't as reactive as I'd like when put into music mode, but I'm sure I'll live lol. All in all, there's a few minor things that I'm not crazy about, but I still love that laptop. 9.5/10 from me!

Overall Very Pleased: Pros: Runs pretty quite and cool Tears up the Superposition Benchmark especially at laptop screen's native 1080p - I was really impressed with how it handled super realistic graphics Setup was easy enough and also easy to register with Asus for the warranty Lighter than it looks Placement of ports frees up the right hand side for mouse action Streaming, Editing, Content Creation are a JOKE this machine doesn't even breathe harder when you open more apps while gaming. Cons: You really SHOULD know it by reading the specs - but no webcam. Setting up an external webcam is super easy and you can go very high quality then. When you plug or unplug while it's on it does a half second black screen. Not sure why, but fine as long as it's normal?

I didn't buy this for gaming. I bought it to have a fast machine with good graphics that would be easier for me to see when I can't plug in a larger monitor, and I wanted something that will last for years. This does the trick. I don't have a touchscreen and don't do gaming so couldn't rate those.

First of all, this laptop is amazing. It's a gaming laptop and it's good at being one. It is super snappy and doesn't freeze one bit. Don't expect the battery to last you an entire day though. From what I've seen in the last couple of days it averages around 3.5~4 hours of usage and maybe can get a bit more if you turn off anything unnecessary, lower the brightness, etc... If you want to use the entire performance of your laptop it has to be plugged in too, or maybe I still haven't figured that out yet. The touchpad was a bit sticky at first but after a few minutes it is perfect, even for sweaty hands. There are multiple versions of this laptop, some with the numpad on the touchpad and others without, so consider this if the numpad is important! Pros: Very powerful Great design! High refresh rate screen is gorgeous 1TB M.2 is fast Having the charger port in the back makes less of a mess on the sides (See edit) Some variety of ports (3xUSB A and 1x3.5mm jack on the left side - 1xUSB-C, 1xHDMI, 1xEthernet on the back) Cons: Small battery Speakers are alright but not the best (can easily be fixed by using headphones) Must be plugged in to fully use the GPU Fans are very loud when the GPU is maxed and you can feel some heat on the top area of the laptop. EDIT: After using the laptop for a longer while, having the charging port at the back turned out not to be as convenient as I thought. Most of the time I would just grab the laptop forgetting it was plugged in and dropping most of the stuff on the table.
