A gentle introduction to deep learning, computer vision and its application to self-driving cars.
This book keeps you engrossed with charts, graphs and pictures, not to mention, plenty of code to get stated with. Without delving too much into the mathematical details, this book manages to give you the fundamental principal and the breath of technical know-how required to embark into the field of self-driving-car.Pros: 1. Very well structured. 2. Plenty of code, charts, graphs to keep the reader interested. 3. General introduction without getting into the nitty gritty helps the reader to get the overall picture without being lost into the specifics.Cons: 1. I would agree with other reviewers about their critic of the book not having a end-to-end project connecting the sections. While this is an introductory book, a section dedicated to discussing some of the latest research with deep learning in self-driving-cars could have ushered a more intrigued reader. Kudos to the authors for taking the time to write the book.

A good book to introduce computer vision and self-driving cars
Disclaimer: I am so glad to be asked by the publisher to write a review for this book. I can promise all my feedbacks are based on my feelings.Overall: This book is about how to apply deep learning knowledge to solve self-driving car problems. The technologies mainly focus on computer vision areas. It gives readers lots of code samples, which can help readers to understand the concept in each chapter.Pros: This book contains all the useful material you need to develop the self-driving car system from the fundamental knowledge to the high-level skills. All the code samples are implemented with Keras.Cons: In this book, all the samples in each chapter are created individually. There is no big project that crosses every chapter from the beginning to the end. If a comprehensive project with codes is introduced in the first chapter, readers will complete a big project at the end when they complete this book.

An essential book for Self Driving car and Computer Vision learners
Being an avid learner of self-driving cars, I read many research papers to learn the basic concept of Autonomous cars. Those papers are a mostly advanced concept that made me realize to look into a book that can break down the advanced concept. Finally, I found this book. The authors explained every section very well. The good thing about the book is it has practical implementation with many self-driving car projects. Besides, Learners can grab the idea of different neural networks.Summary: I highly recommend this book for the readers who wants to learn Self Driving Cars from basic to advanced level.

Must read for beginners / budding engineers to gain an understanding on self-driving vehicles.
It is a very well written book that introduces beginners like myself to the various technologies used in autonomous vehicles. I got an understanding of the make up of what goes into designing a self driving car & how standards are still evolving due to complexities, differences in hardware, and computational aspects. I particularly enjoyed reading Section 2 about "Computer Vision Techniques" and Section 3 about "Behavioral Cloning".#deeplearning #ai #machinelearning #artificialintelligence #computervision #selfdrivingcars #autonomousvehicles #autonomous

Content is motivating enough for any engineer to begin their technical journey to build SDCs
Nicely composed content structure , helps you guide through the entire book with little to no friction. While the big drawback is that: it doesn't get into the nitty gritty , but it could be understood from the fact that it's a very short book that works as a torch bearer for engineers in SDC. Pretty nicely organized the many different objectives of SDCs and the levels of autonomy . Glad that the author made sure to cover the major components of machine learning, however would be great if the author would have provided additional educational references for machine learning that would benefit the seekers who want to drill deep (specifically about machine learning), may be something like other pakt or other courses(same with keras and references). All in all I do appreciate the content to motivate others to embark on their engineering journey to SDCs.

A great beginning!
This book is definitely a step ahead in attempting to introduce this future technology to both technical and non-technical professionals. I am into reading, easily sailed through the initial sections. It would be great to show a development from beginning to end as an example, even if a hypothetical example is taken and probably some direct references to real players how they are applying the concept and in their own blueprints.Like to take this opportunity to appreciate you in giving me this opportunity to review this book,

Too sketchy
The book is nicely structured and provides a good overview in theory, but the actual content and chapter semantics is too sketchy and unprecise to provide the understanding needed.I used it as a structured reference for what to look up on internet to get a real understanding.
