Cute lil' fishies!
Keep in mind, I am an adult. I bought these for my own/my cat's amusement. Ultimately, I got more out of it than the cat did.So, the design of the little fish is really cute and unique. They are made of a rubbery material. The fins are *slightly* translucent (at least on Seaqueen and Bellariva... these names are a little over the top, but I'm not 6 years old) and a little stretchy. The tail is made of the same material and is also stretchy.Bellariva (the ballerina themed gal) looks like her tail is made of fabric and ribbon in the picture. It is not, in fact, fabric, but the illusion is convincing. So, how does the unboxing work? It's pretty cool. I used a large bucket, but you can certainly use any body of clean water you want. Even the bathroom sink. Seaqueen needed a little help getting out, so it's important to stick around and not wander off while letting the fish out of the bag, or she may just sit there flopping around until you let her out.The swimming part is the cool part. They swim SO REALISTICALLY. The capslock is warranted in this instance. Occasionally they will swim into the wall, but for the most part they zip around really well. The tail moves back and forth and the whole fish vibrates. They duplicate the way fish are always moving really well. Seaqueen swam around with her head up, almost out of the water. I haven't opened Bellariva yet, so I don't know if she would do that as well. But it's super cute and definitely seems like the wee fishie is curious to see what her new owner looks like! The "feeding" is a little silly. Again, I'm not 6 years old. The "feeding bottle" is a piece of molded purple plastic that looks more like a lipstick than anything else. It has a magnet and the fish will swim over to it and then stick its mouth to the top of the bottle. The magnet is strong enough that you can drag the fish around the water, and the first time I tried to remove the bottle, I accidentally brought the fish an inch or so out of the water. Whoops! Sorry, fishie.I am aware that the batteries in the toy are "demonstration" batteries, so I'm not sure how much swimmin' I can get out of one fish. I'll probably just take the batteries out at some point so they don't corrode. Since I'm not 6 years old.All in all, I like it. My cat didn't really care for it.

Perfect bath toy
The media could not be loaded. These are the cutest. The swim around the water by themselves. There also is a little pink tube that has a magnet and you can "feed the fishes". The fish attaches to the tip of the tube. The fishes are colorful. In the video you can see them swim. The fish are a hard plastic. The final are rubber. Just be careful because your tots and bite the fins. You don't want them chewing the rubber off. My 18mo loves these toys. It comes with a plastic fish bag so the kids can pretend to set their fish free in the tube. I got these on sale, but they are expensive when not on sale. I paid $7.99. For that price I'll buy, but not for full price. They are still swimming for about a month. I guess the battery life is good. It makes for a cute bath toy gift. Great toy for any age kid.

Technology these days are super fascinating!
I love this toy fish! My daughter has been wanting a goldfish for a while but I try not to buy her living pets until she's old enough to adopt rescue pets that she can take responsibility. All of the adults in the family were fascinated with how well this toy simulates a live goldfish. We've been taking the fish out of the water after each play and so far the battery life is holding up pretty well after a month. They are beautiful to watch and can be used as an educational piece to teach children how to appreciate living things in their natural environment (i.e., not used as a toy like this toy fish). We have two toy birds from the series, too, as we compromised to leave birdfeeders out if we wanted to see the live ones up close.

Christmas gift
I get a Christmas tree child with a wish list every year. Trying to make their gifts special I include surprise gifts not asked for. This will be a fun in tub toy. My granddaughter has one and it swims in the pool like it’s real. Soooo cute!

Barely Swims
This was one of the most requested gifts on my daughter's list this year. And....I just don't get it. I've seen a few different versions, and they all do the same....not a whole lot. Barely swims, barely floats. Cute but not really worth the money.

worked great
This was one of the toys my granddaughter wanted for Christmas. Unfortunately, it didn't make it here for Christmas, but she understood with the supply chain crisis. So she got a present after Christmas. It comes with a plastic case which you submerge it in water and it comes to life and swims out. We played with it for a few hours the very first day. every so often we would have to dry it off because it would go to sleep in the water. it is probably a built-in battery saver. As long as it brought joy to my Granddaughter, I give 5 stars
