These are good enough for common kitchen use...I prefer the small handle over the larger thicker spoons...

We had a great set of wooden spoons that we got as a ...
We had a great set of wooden spoons that we got as a wedding gift 8 years ago. We didn't treat them that well, accidentally burned a few, put them in the dishwasher, and they eventually had to be trashed over the years. We had really been needing some replacements. These spoons are nice enough. The oval spoon shape is a bit misshapen on one and another one has a little knick. The smallest one is perfect though. Overall, for the listing price, I am happy. They are sure to be stained with turmeric and tomato sauce soon enough anyways! :-) I like that there are three difference lengths of handles of spoons in the set. I have already needed them in different applications - the long one for a huge batch of marmalade. the medium for cornbread mixing, and the smaller one when my kids were helping me cook. Just a few examples, but I've used them each several times. We cook several times a day almost every day so they have gotten a lot of use and will continue to get a lot of use. The package does advise to hand wash and I strongly recommend that. I wish that we would have done that with our first set many years ago. These wooden spoons can and should last significantly longer than the plastic spoons that you may be using and if taken care of appropriately can be passed down to children and grandchildren along with those retro casserole dishes and cast iron pans that we all love to receive from our older family members. Also, random tidbit, did you know that you can test your oil to see if it's ready to put your battered chicken (or tofu in our case) into the pan? Just put the wooden handle vertically into the oil and if you see bubbles come up around the handle, then you should be good to go! My grandma and mama once taught me that. Wooden spoons are the way to go and, for the price, you really can't beat this set. I did knock it one star because the quality control seems to be a bit lacking, but I'm still really enjoying the spoons and will continue to do so. I received these for free in exchange for my completely honest review and I hope that it helps in your decision making.

Okay wooden spoons
I prefer wooden spoons to plastic while in the kitchen. I like how light these are but I don't think I'll be grabbing these to use when I'm cooking unless I absolutely have to. They're not finished well enough, like if I saw these in the store I would most likely pass over them and pick out a different pair or brand even. Compared to pictures people have posted these aren't as bad but there are nicks as if I carved a curve into it purposely. The package was already opened too when it arrived, like it wasn't sealed properly.I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my unbiased review.

It's okay!
It's an "okay" product. I like the fact that it can be used on nonstick surfaces, but there's nothing in the product that really caught my attention. The quality could be better, the wooden could have been polished more for a better quality in the finishing. My spoons came with a weird smell, like vinegar, but after a few days out of the package, the smell is gone. This was my first time trying wooden spoons, and I did not fell in love with them, but that's personal, I just like better my silicon ones.I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my unbiased review.

Though these are not the absolute best spoons I have seen
Though these are not the absolute best spoons I have seen, but I did like some of the characteristics.First of all, I like that they are made in the United States. I like to try to support local as much as possible, and while I do not know if these were made close to home, knowing that they were made inside this country is more reassuring than if they were made in China.I also like that they are made of wood. We have all heard the dangers of our overuse of plastic products and the questions of the safety of silicone products. Metal spoons would be alright, but they scratch nonstick surfaces (making THOSE chemicals leak out). I realize we will never be completely safe from all the dangers of this world, but at least we can take baby steps and do things, like using wooden utensils.I like the color and the type of wood that they use to make these. It is a nice, soft wood, of a gentle beige color. They are nice looking spoons, and there are three different sizes, which is a nice complement to any kitchen. The only reason I didn't give these a 5 is because they are not finished well. This could be dangerous to an unsuspecting customer should they try to open it and accidentally catch a splinter. HOWEVER, this was easily fixed. I just finished them myself. It really wasn't a big deal. I think, though, that the seller should attempt to improve the product through making sure that is better finished, because these spoons are really nice otherwise. These spoons would be a good gift for a young person going off to college, or for someone who is just starting out in the kitchen. They are not of the absolute best quality, but they are good enough for beginners.I received these spoons for free in order to try them out and share my honest and unbiased opinion here.
