Does this work if you want to connect your PC to an iMac 2011 computer to use as a bigger monitor?

Hi, thank you for asking. We are afraid that this adapter can not be used the way you expected. First of all, iMac is an all-in-one machine, which means that it can not be used as an external display. And please note that this adapter is uni-directional, only transferring signals from host device with Mini DisplayPort to monitor with HDMI.

will this work on a ps4?

My applications were on two Lenovo laptops -- a Legion 740 and a P51.
Both have the DisplayPort connections and immediately provided signal to an attached monitor.
The Legion is a video server to a Samsung QLED HDTV. In that case, the adapter "read" the potential resolution of the HDTV and signaled the graphics card of the laptop to raise it's resolution to 4K HD. Best picture yet from this combination.

Since it's an adapter for compatible connections I think it would work on the PS4.
But, admittedly, I have not done the experiment.

If i hook my macbook pro (early 2013) (2880x1800 res) model up to my samsung qn90a 4k neo led, will i get 4k resolution?

Hi, thank you for asking.

Please note that the resolution rate are also determined by the performance of your host device and display. If intend to get 4K, please make sure that both your laptop and monitor can achieve the desired resolution rate. For example, if your laptop only supports 1080P while the display supports 4K, you can only get 1080P video on display.

And your Macbook Pro（Early 2013）has only got  (2880x1800), therefore I am afraid that you could not get 4K resolution.
