I purchased this mat because a friend had one and said it was really good. Whilst I don’t use mine for anything particular it just makes me feel well and is very invigorating - bizarrely after the initial discomfort you get used to it and if I don’t use it regularly I miss it.

Good for pain even get a neck piece comfy to lay on and relax worth the money

Firstly, I should point out that this is a half body mat with pillow, which makes it ideal for upper body pain, and general relaxation, as well as helping with head pain, migraines etc. You can also stand on the mat if you like, and this helps relieve foot, and leg pain.I've owned an acupressure mat for some time, but it was due for replacement, so I was really pleased to receive this one.The "spikes" are hard rubber/plastic, and initially it isn't a comfortable experience. It's not painful, just a little uncomfortable. However, within a couple of minutes that discomfort disappears completely, and is replaced by a feeling of total relaxation.I suffer with my back, and I am currently going through quite a lot of pain with it. I have just spent 25 minutes on this mat, and the pain has already been greatly reduced. It will come back again in a few hours, but the relief in the meantime is just so wonderful. Used over a period of time, the condition you are treating should become less debilitating. It's not a cure, but these mats really help with pain management.This one has a removeable, washable cover, and the mat folds in half, and can be secured at either side with poppers. There is also a built in strap to aid carrying.It's a very good mat, and pillow, and well worth the money. If you suffer with back pain, painful joints, feet, headaches, migraines etc. this is definitely worth buying.

Seems good quality, but spikes were a lot more painful than others we've tried. Also smaller than expected, but that is down to me not looking at dimensions properly.

My first impression was it would be impossible to lie on this, it’s like a bed of plastic nails! I wasn’t brave enough to go first and my husband wasn’t very enthusiastic so it took me 2 days to persuade him. We had to place a thin towel over the neck cushion before he’d try it too, but once he got the courage up he found it super relaxing. He now uses it every evening on the sofa for 10 minutes. Once he’d tried it and told me once you are on it the initial discomfort goes away.I can’t lie on the floor or sofa and it would be awkward on my adjustable bed so I use it on my massage chair where I can recline it where I’m comfortable. There is an initial discomfort but it tunes out quickly and becomes very relaxing. I have wanted to get into meditation for ages as I know it’s good for fibromyalgia but I can never relax enough. This has given me encouragement I could finally achieve a serious meditation plan. This allows me to focus on my breathing easier and get past myself in my head. I have been using it with a ‘calm’ essential oil blend candle burning for added ambience. So glad I gave this a try.Good quality mat at a reasonable price, very pleased with it.

The mat and pillow come rolled up together in plastic packaging. There is a decent amount of foam inside them. Both her and Mat are covered in hard plastic circular things with lots of jaggy spikes. They really are very sharp. So it doesn’t make you feel like lying down on it! However having tried it I find the pillow really very good and it quickly gets quite comfortable. I feel more relaxed and like my neck has had a stretch after I’ve used it. I’m not so sure about the mat it maybe depends on your body weight because I’m quite a lot heavier than I want to be and that extra pressure is making the spikes dig in maybe more than they should. I find the mat good under my feet if I’m lying on my back with my head on the pillow and my knees up .
