Feels like a soft tarp
I can’t give a review for how they wear for I only tried them on and took them off. There isn’t any adjustment on them and they felt like a really soft tarp. I’ve had a Frog Toggs jacket years ago and I don’t remember it feeling like this. I was on the fence about keeping them for fishing but time is running out so I’m sending them back

A bit odd, yes, but they work!
These are definitely not for fashion and many people have given these bad reviews saying they feel weird or whatever but I love them.I am a professional dog walker and I ride my bike to travel to the dogs I walk. I am out in the rain and snow, riding the bike and then walking. I live in Northern New Jersey and it rains and snows here a lot!I got these because I thought I had decent rain gear but after a few heavy rain storms I ended up drenched on my bike and walks and knew I had to get some more high-tech gear. Originally I was looking for one of those rubber rain suits or gaiters that fishermen wear because I couldn't think of an alternative way to have waterproof pants while riding the bike or walking in a rain storm. When searching waterproof pants these came up. I liked that they weren't PVC or rubber and decided to give them a shot.I am so happy I did! Here's some things to know:These are not terribly cute, but they do the job. Definitely function over fashion in this case! That being said, they aren't too hideous either, they look sort of like track suit pants and aren't so stiff that upon first glance it doesn't look like your wearing weird pants or anything. The material is like those envelopes like other people have said. It is kind of funny feeling and weird at first which is to be expected if they are to be 100% waterproof. They couldn't be soft regular cloth and still be waterproof. So for them to be waterproof and as wearable as they are, is great. They are much more flexible then the PVC or rubber suits I first looked at.They can be hot because they do not breathe much but they are not too bad if you dress correctly. Because of the material, they are meant to be worn over other clothes or pants. I wear cotton leggings underneath in a cold rain and that is perfect, especially riding the bike. On a snow day, fleece pants or sweats would probably do the trick and keep you plenty warm. The wearing of other clothes underneath is nice because you can take these off at your destination and be dressed normally so I can be dry on my bike but still have normal clothes when I get where I am going. They also roll up very small and can be easily thrown into a bag. They have nice Velcro on the bottoms so you can secure them at ankles. They are a bit long but with rain boots and them velcroed, they don't drag at all. They also have an elastic band at the waist that can be tightened.I also bought the Frog Toggs jacket and a Frog Toggs pack able poncho to go with these pants to make a full rain suit.I have walked and ridden in very heavy rain and some snow this season and have been 100% dry and warm. After hours of bike riding and walking in heavy rain, I had no water soak through and I remained completely dry. These seem to be holding up great so far and have not ripped or fallen apart after a good amount of use. However, even if they only last one season, I would definitely buy these again next year as they are totally worth it. Even if I only get one season of use out of them I will feel I got my money's worth.

Lightweight but awkward
These pants are very light weight and would be great in a pinch but the fabric was awkward (dimpled reuseable shopping bag like texture). And the FroggTogg logo was large and unattractive. Didnt keep. Sent back. Paid higher price for a different branded pair that felt more sturdy and was aesthetically pleasing. But if you just want a practical pair of water resistant pants that are lightweight these would meet those needs.

Runs small
I love these. They keep me dry at work but they do run small. The material is a bit thick & not soft but they are workwear.

Buy FROGG TOGGS Men's Bull Frogg Waterproof Rain Pant Instead
I purchased the women's & men's versions for my son and I to go to Philmont. We were very grateful for both because it was very cold and rained all week - and we used them every day. However, as in most situations, mens' pants are more intelligently made than ladies' (and are usually cheaper). These pants are not made for a fashion statement. They are made for utility, and they serve a very important purpose. There is no difference in how fashionable the mens' vs. womens' version of the FROGG TOGGS pants are...they aren't.There IS a difference in functionality.1) The mens' version has zippered pocket slits, so you can access what you carry in your inner pant pockets - VERY helpful.2) The men's version has ankle zippers, which allow you to access your socks/boots more easily, or roll them up a bit to let some air in. The womens' version does not.The mens' version costs a few bucks more, but it is totally worth it. Also, my son's pants are still useable after HEAVY use, and I had to throw mine away. His were more durable. As a reminder, since these have waterproofing features, you don't want to get them too close to a fire. They will start to shrivel up. It was cold enough at Philmont that it was worth it...but that is a decision you can make, now that you have the warning.

Stayed dry fishing in terrible weather in Alaska
They work! They definitely run a little small. I got a large and I’m usually between a M-L. They fit but if I wanted to wear anything other than leggings under them I may have needed an XL. I also have wider than average hips, so that’s he part that was a bit tight.

They do the job
Having used the original green motorcycle rain suit from frogg toggs for many years, I knew these would wear well and keep me dry. Fabric and finish have to be tough to stand up to many, many miles of motorcycle touring in the rain. Baggy? Well, they’re cut so you can wear insulated layers underneath when necessary. These pants are not a fashion statement, they’re functional. Frankly, in black they look pretty decent. Best of all, they’re a fraction of the price of most other options.
