I love this mat and I will probably purchase a larger size also but it works great no need for a large ironing board. It is very heavy duty and very versatile you can pack it and take it anywhere. The padding is amazing and seems work great for quilting. I love this and I highly recommend this product.

I had to laugh when I saw that this pressing mat was made from wool from New Zealand because when I was in New Zealand, I went to a sheep shearing demonstration. They raise the best wool in the world. Fond memories! This is the best mat ever. Unlike cotton, it does not soak through to the surface. It is so smooth, and the thickness is perfect. I set it on my granite countertop island in my kitchen and iron away. No, it does not come with a cover, so I made one. However, a pillowcase will do just fine. It clearly states that you need to store it on a flat surface. I put mine on top of the refrigerator. Spend the extra money and purchase this mat.

These are very high quality mats for a good price! I use them for other purposes, but would definitely recommend for any purpose!!

I’m so excited to have this new mat for ironing my quilt blocks. It is thick and sturdy and has worked like a charm. My old mat was glued down and the glue started melting and getting on my fabric. This solves that problem. However, there is a funky smell. It’s like a chemical or dye smell. It’s not overpowering but shows up more when applying heat. I don’t find the little iron may useful as the steam from my iron continuously flows when in the down position. Overall, I’m happy with this mat.

What it says on the tin! Use on a table you don’t mind getting damp because the moisture will move through (that’s normal, and the mat will absorb that moisture back once you’re done ironing). Smells like wet wool a bit at first but the smell fades after a couple of uses. Unexpected bonus: not loosing my needles anymore because I stick them in the corner of the mat.

This pressing mat is just what I needed for my sewimg projects. It just the right size. I would recommend it .
