I like the product for what it is - a basketball hoop for YOUNG kids for use with rubber basketball-looking bouncy balls. I've given it 4 stars as it's inexpensive (although sand was another $12 at HD), it serves it's purpose for young kids, and it is sturdy as long as you fill up the sand bag that comes with the product (a must)!!! That said, I bought this for an 8 yo old who is not very athletic. Even so, after seeing it fully extended to 6.23 feet, I really should have bought a slightly taller one with a larger backboard. This will be fun in the backyard to play around, but the backboard is really small and definitely won't withstand the force of even a small "real" basketball - you need bouncy balls. This won't be the hoop that does much for our skill set, but it will be fun for the time being. Again, great for small kids, but if I was purchasing again, I'd be choosing something more robust for an 8 year old. It's easy to put together. A couple screw parts were cracked, but it still went together fine and I'm not worried about those parts being a problem.

I really wanted to like this. Thought it would be so fun for me and the kids to play with. When it showed up, it was so flimsy. Has nice height adjustability. Biggest problem (and it's a big one!) is that it's to tippy. They give you this bag that you're supposed to fill with sand and just put on top because the base (even when filled) isn't sturdy enough. Well, even with the sand bag on the little base, it's still tippy. Disappointed.

This is a fun little basketball goal that can be used inside. It's not really durable enough to be put outside. It is very thin. Even keeping it inside, after about a month one of the screws came loose in the framing. Now we have a hard time keeping it up. It is a good size for my 5 year old son. You can also just mount the goal to a wall, which is what we have resorted to now.

These are too light to work in arcade game. The 7" balls that came in the arcade game weigh 11oz. These balls weigh about 3.5oz, which isn't heavy enough to even go thru the net. They are a very thin material and perhaps are better suited to 5" diameter because if you inflate then to 7", they bounce like a Superball. They will bounce FAR off the rim.

I bought this for my 4 year old. It is decent for the price as a hoop to get him comfortable with the concept of basketball. However, it is very easily toppled even with the base filled. The backboard is small and doesn't stay straight. The ball is cheap, but again it is low priced. I am keeping it since it doesn't the job, but don't get this if you are looking for something sturdy.

Nothing assembles together as it should. The backboard and base were able to be assembled, but not the multi-piece posts…. It was obviously cheaply made and the bolts wouldn’t go through their openings- literally was impossible to get the frame together to connect the pieces.Not sure where all these good reviews came from, but I’d avoid this item and look for anything else- it doesn’t seem like a problem that could happen to just my order

This was a bear to put together. It is not very sturdy even with water or sand. My granddaughter does like the pump that was included. Has had more fun playing with that and pumping up her balls than playing with the hoop.

It’s easy to assemble. It’s not that sturdy, but if your kid is up to 7 years old, no big deal. If you bring not outside, fill the sandbag as it will tip over on uneven surfaces. It’s fun. And our jr. basketball fits through the hoop.
