These work great and produce a very strong connection. The crimping tool I have only crimps down to about 20 gauge, so for smaller wires I had to use some needle nose pliers and crimp it further. The tubes also will not actually shrink to 22 gauge, but you can gently crimp the ends with needle nose pliers while they are still hot and it will seal to itself. I guess technically that means it still works with 22 gauge, but not great. Doesn't look as tidy either. In any case, I give these the full five stars. For gauges 20 and below, which is 99% of what I work with, these work great. They crimp down tightly and the glue easily flows out of the tubes before hardening and forming a flexible, watertight seal. Next time I will order a larger box, I used quite a few on my project motorcycle. It had a bunch of electrical tape connections and cheap, low quality connectors throughout the harness when I bought it. These worked great to replace all those connections, and they are MUCH stronger than the cheap plastic connectors.
