Sadly, not a good experience. I just used this rice cooker for the first time today. I purchased it November 2025. Obviously the return window is now closed. I turned the unit on thinking that like a regular rice cooker it would automatically change to warming mode when it had finished cooking. When I went to check on it, The unit had gotten so hot that the pan and its contents had burned to a crisp and my kitchen filled with smoke. The pan is permanently unable to be used again and frankly, I will never use the unit again because I’m pretty sure it’s defective and a massive fire hazard. We immediately unplugged the unit and a half hour later it is still far too hot to touch. Something is very wrong with this unit. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the original box nor the original paperwork. My bad. I never expected this from a Panasonic unit. Just be careful if you choose this unit.

We use this for a soup kitchen at Food At First in Ames Iowa. Works great! Best purchase we made.

It doesn't cook the rice properly.

I was very disappointed to see that the outlet on this cooker is not compatible with what we use in the United States therefore, I am unable to use it for the purpose that I had planned. By the time I figured it out the return window had closed.

I really liked the look of this rice cooker and the fact that it can cook up to 40 cups of uncooked rice. I read a number of positive reviews on this particular product prior to purchasing it and really thought this rice cooker would do it for our restaurant. The product information specifies that it can "Cook up to 40 cups (13 lbs) of uncooked rice in 40 minutes or less." My problem is that it takes almost 2 whole hours to cook rice, regardless of the amount--the full 40 cups or just 10 cups! That really sucks because you can't just cook a little bit really quick-not in 40 minutes!

This item is NOT for use in the USA (110 Voltage) and home usage. It has 208 voltage. Please check and make sure BEFORE you purchase it. I was not really aware of this as I was just helping to purchase this item for the Church. I was advised that we need to purchase the Voltage Converter in order to be able to use this rice cooker.

Return item because cord was defected sad I really wanted the pot
