It is easy to remove, but not strong and not durable. I had mine for about one year in sunny southernd California weather and already ripped.

Q: Is it really waterproof? I’m on my 3rd cover now and cannot find one that keeps my grill dry.

From what I can see it is waterproof. My grill is sitting under the soffit of my house. We have had several bad rains with terrible winds, and when the cover was removed the grill was dry.... of course it could have dried out sitting in the sun after the rain too! For the money I have never purchased a product with such fantastic value. We are living on the side of a mountain here, with plenty of winds, the cover is so heavy that even without the velcro ties attached it just hangs on the grill. It really is worth the money! The only negative I can tell is getting the "hang" of actually putting the cover on the grill. It is so large and heavy it took awhile to understand the "technique" as to how to accomplish this task. . . . (you have to throw the bottom/back of the cover up and over and back behind the grill first and then lift from the top).... you'll understand..... I wouldn't pass buying this thing up for nothing!

Q: Will it keep it from freezing to my grill during the winter?

It should not freeze to your grill as long as you do not have any water or moisture trapped under it. I live in Minnesota. When I use it in the winter and forget to replace the cover after the grill cools off until the next day and if it snows or sleet falls on it in the mean time be sure the grill is dry before replacing the cover. One method is run the grill for a short time; let it cool and then replace the cover.
