I was pleasantly surprised by how good this rucksack is. It carried my elderly whippet (and she's a larger size) down to the beach when she had leg issues. It was easy to get her in and out and felt sturdy and secure. It really saved her on our holiday. I definitely recommend.

As long as your back is upto lugging a puppy about the bag will be upto the challenge. We ordered this for our new 12 week old Irish setter pup. As you all know can't go walking a puppy far as there joints aren't upto it. However we didn't want this to stop us.Could put Chase in the bag and walk for miles. We tried other style bags and either found them too expensive or over complicated. I found it easier to wear on your chest then back and allowed me to keep an eye on the puppy.The bag is easy to clean and cleans up well, I know he threw up in it 🙈. Only down side is that the one elastic broke on the side pocket. We weren't bothered as the pocket still worked as it should do.

This bag is alone really good for its intended purpose, however I found it stressful to put my dog in and almost impossible to pick it up while on my own.. so being on my own I had to return it as its unmanageable..

We bought this bag to carry a spaniel puppy who must not be walking as far as our two adult dogs. At first it was OK but when she was only 8kg the fabric started pulling out of the stitching. I hoped to solve this by reinforcing it with tape but only about a week later, and before she weighed even 9kg, one of the carrying straps detached completely from the bag. In use the bag was comfortable but it is not as sturdy or strong as advertised. We have replaced it with an ordinary rucksack which was cheaper and is much stronger!

My dog has recently been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, I take this everywhere with me. When she has had enough I put her in the rucksack. She loves it, can look around and enjoy being out and about with me. Easy to get her in it and not heavy or uncomfortable for me or the dog. Absolute godsend 👍

My dog absolutely loves her backpack. It allows me to take her on long hikes and carry her when she gets too tired. If you are planning on carry other items e.g food, there is almost no room for that so you will need to clip something on. There's no waist strap.

I practised a few times with it around the house, but my dog only got to use it on a walk about 3 times before the zip broke. Others have reported the same problem. Shame, it seemed a good quality bag and I was fairly happy with it before that. A waist strap would have been a very useful addition.
