This is the hot and spicy version. This is the secret sauce I put in for my Chinese cooking. Just saute some veggies, add some noodles (currently going through a bag of rice stick noodles, but have tried it with udon, egg noodles, and even soba noodles), a little bit of this sauce and you have an easy and tasty meal. For about 2 big plates, I use about 2tbspn of the sauce. Be sure to stir it up so the bits can mix with the oil before you add it to your cooking. This was also the first time I bought the spicy version and heeded other reviews of it being too spicy. It's actually not very spicy at all, not to me at least. Use it in moderation if you think it would be too spicy by cutting it with some more veggie oil or olive oill The cost for 8.5oz is kind of pricey, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to use the giant 26oz buy (where it is 3x the size for only 2x the price). Now I know I will, so next time, I'm going to get the big can for sure.

This has some nice funky fish type flavor for chinese food, kinda like fish sauce.. but with only a fraction of the sodium. Absolutely not like a traditional "BBQ" sauce. Great solution for low sodium asian style stir fry, or roasted/grilled meat.

This sauce has a strong seafood taste (fish). It’s not my thing but my daughter loves it. So I’d say just goes off preference.

I seen this product on a video to use as a marinade for chicken I was super excited to use it because I enjoy Chinese food recipes. After eating the dish I started to get a allergic reaction to something in the sauce! I had never had an allergic reaction to anything before so this was very scary I almost had to call 911 because my throat felt like it was closing I took some Benadryl quickly. I will in the future be very cautious of any food Items I purchase.

Deserves five stars, plus! I can't give it five stars based on the fact that it's so expensive on amazon. I was introduced to this by my cousin's girlfriend of Vietnamese decent. She also introduced me to Asian hot pot. This isn't something I would have tried, ever, on my own. Although I'm so glad she introduced me to this. My wife and I love this BBQ sauce! I like the spicy, she enjoys the mild. It is by no means comparable to American BBQ. This is Asian BBQ. This has a mild seafood flavor, and a very distinct taste. If you live by an Asian market, this is super cheap to buy it at a store, and expensive on Amazon.
