Works Great with My Note 5, with Case On!
I purchased this wireless charger, based largely upon the price and the large number of positive reviews here. I received it quickly in two days through Prime. Since I use a number of cases with my Note 5 it was important to me that it work properly with the cases on. With the case I use most frequently, the SlimArmor by Spigen, the phone begins charging almost immediately, but must be perfectly centered on the SeaFine Wireless Charger. I also use a Pelican case which is a bit thicker and I had to be a bit more fastidious with my positioning and perhaps wait ten seconds for contact to be acknowledged by the blue light turning on and my phone screen indicating that charging had begun. There were a few third party cases that had more difficulty. Bottom line is that none of these wireless chargers is guaranteed to work with a case on, so if I can have it work that way it adds to the convenience and purpose of not plugging into the charge port on my phone.I have noticed that the Note 5 gets warm on the back, as does the charger, but never more than around 95 to 100 degrees, as measured by an infrared thermometer I have. Certainly nothing that would harm the phone, least of all, melt it down, or whatever. I tried several different cable and charging brick combinations and found that I got the most reliable first-try charging with the Fast Charger which came with my Note 5. Using a standard charger of 2 Amps seemed to initiate charging with somewhat less reliability, especially with the thicker cases. I feel that as far as cases go, you need to experiment, but again, with the case I generally use everyday, the Spigen, I get very reliable charging. If you use no case, then you should have no difficulties at all. I'm happy using it, as described, and can recommend the SeaFine as a great inexpensive alternative to the pricey OEM chargers and others. It looks sleek, small, and refined on your nightstand or table and the rubber ring on top grips the phone well with no sliding. Be sure to remove the protective film from the bottom rubber feet to make full use of the grip they provide on your tabletop.

Works great, blue glow too bright for bedside charging.
Works fine. If the phone is in a case, it's a little picky about exactly where you place the phone, but that's true of any wireless charger. Recognizes the phone and the clear base glows blue quickly to let you know it's charging (there's also an LED on top that turns from red to green). However, do NOT buy this for your bedroom -- that friendly blue glow is REALLY bright and annoying when you're trying to sleep. Would be great for office, kitchen, or living room.Like most of these inexpensive wireless chargers, a USB cable is included but you have to provide your own 2.1 - 2.4 amp charger. (Really wish they included this...) After scouring the house, I found two that were labeled to put out over 2 amps, but only one actually provided the juice needed -- many cheap chargers don't meet their label specs. You may want to add a 2.4 amp charger to your cart.

and after reading over a good many of the reviews of it and the amount ...
I am going to be honest i was very skeptical of this charger when i first saw it and the price range that it was listed for on here. I had just gotten the Samsung EP-PG920IBUGUS Wireless Charging Pad, and after reading over a good many of the reviews of it and the amount of reviews i saw. With that charger i have experienced some issues with it stopping charging randomly but nothing i could not live with or expect from a wireless charger. Now, needless to say i was looking again to see if i could find other chargers that had as good if not better ratings. This charger fit the bill of better rating however, i worried about the number of reviews on it compared to the Samsung charger. The Samsung has a sold 4 star rating and deserves as much if you ask me but this one only has just over 100 when i first looked at it. The part that convince me to get it was that all 100 reviews were 5 star ratings and now i see why. This charger is half the price of the Samsung charger and chargers just as fast but without the random stops and disconnects in the charging. So far i have found that it is not picky about the direction i place it as long as the phone is mostly centered on the charger. The only thing this charger does not do that the Samsung one does is change color when the phone has reached 100% charge but that is not a big deal to me. I can just look at the phone and see. I will say that i did keep my Samsung charger as i already had it and did not want go through the hassle of returning it. Ill just have 2 wireless charger but over, if i had gotten this charger first, i would not have even looked at another wireless charger. Please also keep in mind that this charger takes longer to charge the phone than a cable but again to me this was to be expected. Don't get this expecting to charger a dead phone in an hour and 15 min like a cable can because it won't do it but then again my Samsung does not either (they charge at very very close to the same rate) and i honestly doubt that there is a wireless charger out there that can even get close to a hardwired charge time. It plan and simple, hardwired connections will always give a better performance. Done.

but that seems to be pretty common for wireless charging
Wanted a wireless charger to avoid the hassle of fiddling with the charger cover on my Galaxy S5, and breaking it and ruining the water resistance of the phone. After installing a wireless receiver into my phone, I dropped it on the charger, and it fired right up. It does work through the case I have on my phone, although the phone does warm up a bit, but that seems to be pretty common for wireless charging. Not as fast as the quick charger that came with the phone, but it's well worth the tradeoff of not having to plug the phone in.

Had high hopes, but was let down.
I bough this because of the rave reviews it got, and I had high hopes for it. It made a loud hissing sound from the start, which some information online said was normal, but other information said it was not. On the 2nd day of using it, it will not charge neither mine nor my girlfriend's note 5's. I will be returning it.
