Great organic Turkish towels. They wash and dry well and seem to get softer the more we use them. They dry really quickly which is great for the pool, beach or hot tub. They are thin but that is how turkish towels are meant to be. They are a great size as well. I bought 8 of them in different colors so you know what towel belongs to you when the towels are lying around everywhere.

It’s a cute towel, but more like a beach spread or light blanket. I read other reviews before buying, and I expected good absorption. Looking back at reviews, I’m copying and pasting someone’s review as it’s exactly my experience: I followed the directions given to “train” the cotton towel to be absorbent. It is not as absorbent as a terrycloth towel. It makes a great beach towel since it dries fast and wraps nicely. Takes up less space in bag. I was hoping to also use it in the bathroom (since it is so soft and nice looking) but it leaves me a bit damp when used indoors: the towel dries the water droplets which is perfect for pool or beach as the sun and air quickly take care of the damp left on skin- but I wouldn’t want to use after shower in the winter when I want to dress immediately afterwards. Love it as a beach towel and small summer travel blanket.

These beach wraps are huuuumongous. Just as advertised. 100%cotton. Great looking pattern. Quality material - tho on the thinner side, not super thin and not as thick as some of the turkish wraps I've had before. - just what i was looking for. Couldnt be more pleased. Value for the $. From experience, feels like they will be absorbent and wash well.

I have both this Demmex towel in Sage and a Teema Labyrinth in white. Comparing them, I found the Teema to be softer and thinner/more drapey, while the Demmex feels thicker and sturdier. Still soft, just not AS soft. They are identical length, but the Teema is a few inches wider. The knots on the Demmex all came very well tied, while I had to tighten or re-tie many of the tassels on the Teema. On looks, I honestly can’t decide which I like better — the sage color is absolutely gorgeous and I like the diamond-and-stripe pattern, but I also adore the rainbow of colors in the Teema. Functionally, I soaked the Demmex for 24 hours as recommended and washed, then air-dried. I found some fuzz but not that much. I’ve washed a couple times since, as well. I’ve used it both at the water park/pool and as a bath towel and found it to be absorbent and quick-drying. I haven’t used the Teema yet so I can’t compare its performance. Price-wise, the Demmex comes in at half the cost of the Teema, which I think is excellent value. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to purchase more of these!

I wanted to wait until I had used and washed these towels before submitting a review. I had never purchased this type of towel before but I wanted them for two reasons 1) we go camping in an RV and I wanted towels that didn’t take up a lot of room and dried quickly 2) my expensive washer bangs when I put my regular towels in it and I didn’t want to wear out my appliance. The towels arrived very nicely packaged and on the scheduled day stated when ordered. When I took them out I was pleased with their size, thickness and appearance. Upon using them they took just a day or two to get use to, they aren’t as thick as regular towels however they were absorbent enough to get the job done. When I washed them I was very pleased, no banging in my washer and they dried in my drier very fast. After washing they looked as good as when I purchased them, no shrinkage, no pilling, even softer than they were prior to being washed. After I use them after I shower I hang them behind my bathroom door, they look nice but I think they are a little slower to dry than I had hoped due to a lack of air circulation behind the door , not the fault of the towels. They do dry, just not fast, but again I think that’s a location issue and not a towel issue (reason I only took one star off) and by the next day they are perfectly dry and smell fresh and clean. I purchased the matching hand towels once I decided how much I liked these towels. I am very happy with this purchase, I would buy these towels again from this distributor. As a result of the benefits listed above I don’t see myself returning to the former heavier type of towel in the future.

These are excellent towels for the beach. They are soft, pack light/compact, and are oversized so you can lay as a beach towel on the sand if you want. We did try using these in our bathroom as an after-shower towel and didn't love it as much as Terry cloth. Might just take some getting used to, or just needs a few more washes to soften up and make it more absorbent. I haven't given up on the idea of it - we love that these are organic. The colors are great (we got navy, light grey, and mint). Gray is my fave - soft, neutral - perfect! These are thicker and heavier than the WetCat towels that we also bought. I like them both for different reasons. The WetCat is very thin, but nice for a lightweight beach towel. I like the Demmex for it's luxury softness and makes for a nicer "blanket" for a windy or cool day at the beach! Definitely recommend!

For years I have struggled to find soft 'conventional' cotton towels. It seems to make no difference whether they are expensive or cheap - whether they claim to be Egyptian cotton or bamboo - they all end up the same after 6 months or so - scratchy and stiff. Not so with these beautiful Demmex Turkish towels. I made my initial purchases in December 2020 and January 2021, and I have intentionally waited this long time to post my review fearing they would end up hard and scratchy. They absolutely have not! They have been washed numerous times - and line dried in the shade - and they are still beautifully soft and gentle on my skin. I purchased towels and hand towels. I can recommend them 100% and will never go back to the 'conventional' towels.
