I have dark blonde/auburn hair with lots of straw colored highlights. As my grays come in I need to go to the salon every six weeks for a dark root touch up. Invariably my pill highlights absorb the dark base until the base color starts to fade, but then it’s time for another root touch up! Now are use this shampoo the day following my root touchup and my bright highlights magically reappear. And now I know I won’t need to highlight my hair every three months just to get the brightness back, the shampoo does the trick! It’s excellent, gentle on the hair, I have no problem with tangling or dryness. And it smells divine.

Love this product. My stylist got a little lax I think on my last highlight and my bangs were not all that attractive. Little (ok a LOT) brassy. So I call her up and tell her that I was showing my roots. Irish roots that is. She tells me to come by the shop and grab some purple shampoo. Since I wasn't able to go by the shop while she was there I just ordered some off of Amazon. As usually it came fast, wrapped carefully to avoid spills and worked like a charm at reducing the brassy tone to my natural blonde(ish) hair. And it lathers up AMAZING and smells really good. One thing to note, this can stain clothes and I recommend making sure that you wash out the tub and any surrounding grout just in case. I did find that this shampoo gave my hair a TON of volume although it is pretty weighty but that is how most products do on my fine hair.

At first I wet my hair, lathered the shampoo all over, and let sit for about 10 minutes. Then I rinsed and condition my ends like usual. The first wash seemed to go okay and effectively brightened my balayage. However, the next time I washed my hair (about three days later), I followed the same routine and when my hair dried the roots were incredibly greasy and I had what looked like dandruff allllll over my scalp. So I rewashed my hair with regular shampoo and conditioner and it was gone so I figure it was just product build up. The next time I made sure to rinse my scalp extra carefully but I would still get the build up. So, the solution? I applied the blonde shampoo to DRY hair, let sit for about 5 minutes, and then followed with a regular shampoo and conditioner. After I dried my hair I added some Argan oil to add moisture back in. This is just what worked for my hair but everyone is different. For the record, I’m half Korean so my hair is straight and naturally more on the oil side. However, I go about three days without washing my hair and rely on dry shampoo. Hope my trial and error helps someone else! I’ve used a couple different drugstore purple shampoos and this has been the best.

I love this product and have used it for several years. I stay in the warm gold to reds range of hair colors and this can tend to have a weird period of brassiness when changing colors. I also have naturally darker hair with a little red tone so the blond dye can tend to pull that out and then I end up a weird rosy shade. When I first dye my hair and notice brassiness coming out I use this twice a week and let it sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing, this tones down my brass drastically. I regularly use it once a week. Takes great care of my color. The smell is pleasant and it doesn’t dry out my hair like similar products I have used. It doesn’t give it any moisture but I use a deep conditioner once a week to combat the drying.

So irritated about this purchase. It arrived packaged poorly. As a result, it was everywhere (if you have ever used purple shampoo, you know that it can stain, it is very pigmented). SO I contact Amazon, they expect me to package this mess and ship it back to them. No thanks. SO i do my best to salvage what is left of the product. Well, the pump part is stuck and so I had to take that out and just pour it from the bottle. It is great stuff, and it should be considering how expensive it is and the fact that I won't get to use all of it....will go back to what I used before, which is the generic one you can get at Sally Beauty.

I was so happy with this product! I had a hair catastrophe happen and this was the perfect ending to fixing it. I dyed my hair a dark blonde, but it turned olive green!!! I believe I had chlorine from the pool still in it. I tried everything to fix it and ultimately bleached my hair to get rid of it. Of course then I had a brassy orangish colored mess. I decided to try this and my hair looks salon amazing now! The prefect shade of platinum blonde. I did do it twice in one night but that is because my hair looked so terrible. I left it on each time for 10 minutes and I am so happy now. I definitely recommend this product. It also smells amazing and my husband said I smelled as if I just came home from the salon after a nice shampoo!

The first purple shampoo I used was Shimmerlights, and I felt that was too drying and chemically-scented. I love this Bed Head one, it smells SO good and I feel it doesn’t fry my hair. Purple shampoo tends to work better on dry hair and left on to sit, though you’d have to use way more product with this method. I’ve only used this product twice in the shower (because I was too lazy to let it bake) and I already noticed my brassy/yellowy hair turn lighter, I even got compliments from my boyfriend who never notices a thing. For me, when I use on wet hair in the shower, I put this shampoo on first & wrap my hair in a bun, then do the rest of shower so the product has more time to sit. One bad thing is that the packaging came pretty beat up and the product inside was an explosive mess, as a lot of other reviews have warned about.

Tô apaixonada por esse shampoo! Pra quem não gosta de cabelo acinzentado eu recomendo muito, vale cada centavo!! Deixa o cabelo com uma cor lindíssima, super brilhoso, não resseca como alguns outros shampoos roxos e limpa muito bem os fios. No primeiro uso não notei muita diferença, pois não deixo mais de 4min no cabelo, após o segundo uso foi só amor :) tenho usado duas vezes por semana e ele rende super bem.

I orginally purchased this purple shampoo only because it would ship within two days and my regular purple shampoo would take weeks to ship. I am so glad I bought this! This shampoo is by far the best purple shampoo I have tried. It smells great, doesn't stain the skin and takes out the brassiness. It also leaves hair moisturized and soft! I LOVE this product and I'll be purchasing again.

Also ich habe den Kauf eines Silbershampoos wirklich zu einer Wissenschaft gemacht, habe ewig Rezensionen verglichen und Infos gelesen. Schlussendlich wurde es das Shampoo. Ich muss sagen, ich bin ehrlich begeistert! Ich finde den Geruch dezent und frisch, kann die Kaugummi-Beurteilung überhaupt nicht teilen. Zum Vergleich, habe mir auch um horrendes Geld Kerastase Pflegeprodukte zugelegt, weil man so viel Gutes davon hört, die Wirkung war aber erstmal so lala und der Geruch für mich viel zu intensiv. Ich hasse zB auch künstliche Parfüms und habe sonst nur Bio-Pflegeprodukte, aber bei blondiertem Haar hilft die Natur halt erstmal nicht viel. Naja und bei Kerastase habe ich das Gefühl, eine einparfümierte Tussi zu sein, während ich den Geruch von Tigi jung und einfach gut finde. Die Blondwirkung finde ich gut, mir war klar, dass bei meinem nur mittelblond blondiertem Haar ohne Tönung keine Wunder zu erwarten sind, aber trotzdem waren die Strähnen nach 15 min Einwirkueit deutlich kühler. Färbt ohne Handschuhe auch ein bisschen die Hände, vor allem die Nägel, geht aber nach ein paarmal Händewaschen weg. Dusche wurde nicht gefärbt. Das allerwichtigste: nach dem Benutzen ist mein frisch blondiertes Haar wie nach einer Kur! Ganz weich und irgendwie aufgefüllt, fühlt sich gesünder an. Sowas hätte ich nie erwartet, ich kann die Austrockung kein Stück bestätigen. Zum Vergleich habe ich nur das Bonacure Silvershampoo von Schwarzkopf bisher getestet, das auch sehr intensiv - intensiver - ist, aber tatsächlich mein Haar noch strohiger gemacht hat. Deswegen bin ich erstmal auch dem vielgepriesenen Fanola No Yellow Shampoo ferngeblieben. Ich habe erstmal meine Linie gefunden und werde mir demnächst sicher auch die restliche Dumb Blonde Pflegelinie zulegen!
