A great book
This is a great book on some of the history of Acadians.

What happened to the Acadians after repatriation to France.
This is an excellent book and it gives all Acadian researchers a better understanding into the lives of the Acadians who had been deported and exiled from Acadia in 1755-1758 and repatriated to France in 1763 when the Treaty of Paris was signed. Some had been deported to Virginia and then onto the docks of England. Others had been deported from Ile St-Jean and Ile Royale / Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton in 1758. Finding life difficult where they had been given land in France, many sailed to Louisiana in 1785. We know them today as Cajuns.

Very scholarly.
Kind of dry but gets the point across. I did learn a lot about the Acadians in France which is something that hasn’t been covered adequately in other books on the Acadians. It fills the void.
