A Quality Dog Food
One of our Dachshunds was prone to seizures once and awhile. Our Vet did a battery of tests and recommended trying a different dog food. This one was on her list. We have been feeding this for several years now and he never had another episode. It may be a little more expensive, but we don't care if it keeps our dogs healthy and they seem to love it.

If they have to eat dry food, make it this one
Made in Canada, which I LOVE, since their quality standards seem to be much higher than pet foods made in the USA with roadkill and euthanized livestock. This is one of the only foods I have been able to consistently feed my dogs for years and years without any issues - no allergies, recalls, distribution or availability problems, etc. My dogs absolutely love this dog food and I trust it. They do tend to put on weight pretty quickly with it so follow the serving instructions and make sure your dogs get adequate exercise. This food really is the best of the best.

Great for dogs with sensitive stomachs
My dogs love this food. So much so they knew as soon as the box arrived their food was here. They could not wait for feeding time. It helped my dogs with their upset stomachs since it's a grain free. It is a dark in color and not dry looking which tells me it isn't super processed or fried. I could not give 5 stars because it is pricey and became too expensive for two large dogs. The shipment takes some time because it is from Canada. However, if you are looking for a dog food with good ingredients and sensitive tummy issues, this is a good choice. I wish I could afford to keep buying it.

Bad bag
After multiple visits at the vet, it was determined that I had a bad bag of dogfood. The dog was vomiting off and on for a month. she was sick each time she ate the dog food. when i gave her a bland diet, she was well. Thinking that she was better, I re-introduced the kibble and she became sick again.

#1 Best Dog Food You Can Buy - If You're Feeding Kibble
My dogs have been on this for 8 years and I don't plan on ever changing for multiple reasons: 1. It's made in Canada where their standard of dog food is human grade. 2. It has a 5 star review on dogfoodadvisor.com 3. It has helped us avoid extra visits to the vet because it keeps them super healthy. 4. One of our dogs has a partial white coat and had skin issues before starting this food and they cleared right up when starting this. I believe it's because they include SO MANY GREAT INGREDIENTS!! 5. My dog's coat is super soft and healthy. If I wanted to try to put the beneficial ingredients listed in this dog food in a homemade food, it would cost me a fortune. I've supplemented a couple of dogs with homemade food just for fun and it is so expensive and I can't guarantee the nutritional consistency this provides. Bottom line, this will keep your pet healthy and happy!

Dinner time
My dogs love this food. I like the protein amount so I know they are eating a healthy food. Seem to eat less which I attribute to the quality of ingredients they’re getting .i have 3 dogs. A Husky , Morkie an Australian Shepherd. They tend to be picky eaters but like this.

About the Boar....
Because my dogs really love lamb, and it seems to be the meat that all of them can tolerate. I generally buy the 1 lb packages of ground lamb, and mix it with high quality kibble. I prefer a lamb-based kibble as well. It's nice that the first few ingredients are lamb and lamb meal followed by salmon and herring. The wild boar is not at the top of the list which is a very good thing, because most dogs do not tolerate foods made from pigs, which is why you don't see them very often. On the other hand, wild boars are an invasive and non-natural species that disrupt ecosystems in many parts of the world. Therefore, culling them for food makes sense. Since most humans wouldn't be used to that type of gamey flavor, it also makes sense that it would be used as pet food. So the concern over this being porcine is one reason this isn't going to be my favorite food, but the other, more main reason, is that on the bag I cannot find out where the lamb and wild boar meats are sourced. The food itself appears to be made in Canada, but I wish it were plainly on the package where the lamb came from. Especially these days, I want total transparency in my dog food. The price is mid-range for specialty food. I've given both dogs small amounts with their regular food, and they ate it. I start with amounts so small that it would be unlikely that any digestive issues would pop up, but I'm just not sure about giving them the rest of the bag. Back to human grade pet food and home cooked.
