Is clock wood or plastic?

This is a beautiful little clock. It is plastic and very durable. We live hearing the birds chirp.

Anytime you have a second hand rotating, it makes a ticking sound. As long as it's not placed in a bedroom, it's fine.

How can I hear the soumds before buying?

There is no way to hear the sounds til you get it home and install batteries. Also it is active by solar.
