I love this tool. It needs no assembly and was chopping out of reach, high up wisteria shoots, in minutes. The sad thing is it arrived with only the cutting mechanism protected and packaged. The actual rod part is scratched deeply/marked badly in several places. I washed it, but the marks are permanent. I've kept it as its too big and too much hassle to return it - to simply get another the same. Whoever thought that this tool was adequately packed for online shipping is in the wrong job. So if prestige out of the box is a priority to you, this is not for you. It's a superb tool, not cheap, but that did take the shine off for me. I will say that I have used Amazon a lot and have never experienced this before.

Excellent product, easy to use, good for the cost.

Has just arrived, so have only tried it out on a couple of errant buddleias - and so far, so good. My only complaint at this stage is the inadequacy of packaging - the handle has a number of surface scratches, which is no surprise given that the handle was not wrapped or protected for transit. OK, it’s just a garden lopper - but it is new, and I like things to start life in pristine condition!

Returned after a few uses. The metal wire that moves the claw mechanism wore down and snapped. Fatal design flaw.

Bought to prune some apple trees about 3 metre tall, very good for the job. Like the fact you can change the angle of the cutting head
